Access to top floor bedrooms no lift. Lovely old building. But Needs up grading. Lot of coach trips.In hotel Bar not open only over meal times. ..

Parking fee is expensive but very little option in the area. Breakfast had shown high reviews so disappointed when bacon was so hard I couldn't cut it. Not the fault of the hotel at all, but be aware that if you arrive late evening there may well be nowhere in the local area still serving food (half past nine)apart from the Chinese takeaway a short, steep walk up hill. A surprise for a Bank Holiday Monday. There are a lot of steps so beware if you have mobility issues.

Clean room, comfortable bed, located not far from the sea front. The pre-booked parking space was clearly marked.

Our room fronted the main road and we were intermittently woken by trucks driving past. There were no hooks by the door for hanging coats and dog leashes. Otherwise no complaints.

Friendly staff. Great hospitality. Rooms were clean and tidy. The decor and wall treatment were lovely and inviting. Tea and coffee services were provided. Our dog was also very happy.

Our room was not situated in the best possible place - right on top of the car park. Disappointed to find that apart from breakfast there was no other food available.

Couldn’t fault breakfast. Continental and full English options. . Room was comfortable if a little ‘jaded’ windows were old sash type and didn’t fit well. Single glazed. Room was kept very clean with towels changed every day.

The outside pool was closed, which we were unaware of when booking. This was part of the reason why we booked this hotel, so we felt slightly cheated. That said, the indoor pool is great.

The room was great. Massive family room with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were friendly and it was nice and close to the sea front.

Disorganised evening meal and certainty whether we would located in the restaurant or brasserie for dinner. Meals were excellent but lack of allergy knowledge by the serving staff was lacking. Some reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, but others not.

The room had a emergency exit outside the window so we had a restricted view. Room 306.

We were moved to The Grand as hotel was closed.

I deducted marks for the broken pipe outside the window that let the running water pour down so loudly outside the window.. The zero view of a brick wall, The toilet needing cleaning again. No bottled water in the room and had to use bath tap water to make a tea after a long drive there. They should provide at least 2 bottles on arrival. Dirty stained carpet that made my white socks black and whoever was in the room Opposite kept going in and out there room several times through the night .. presumably to go and smoke outside the hotel.

It's a lovely hotel. Love the style and space the hotel provide for there guests.. the little library is snug and cosy .. the comfortable sofas and fire places... It was a nice stay plus in a great area in easy walking distance to torquay Town.
