Very well appointed pod with all the mod cons needed. very nice touch was the various local food gifts on arrival. The pod is located in a private location with BBQ and fire pit areas. The host where always on hand if we needed any local knowledge.

It was small inside, but this is what we expected. The bed certainly was cosy, but also difficult to get in and out of. The WiFi lost signal with the weather change and when it rained lost all phone and WiFi signals.

The location was perfect. Just great to get away from busy, working lives. The scenery was picturesque, you could hear the owls at night and the birds early in the morning. The outside table and seated area was fantastic to eat at, providing a spacious environment. The hosts were amazing. Very helpful with locations and places to visit. Available at all times. On arrival there was a loaf of bread, jam, fresh Welsh cakes and eggs was a very welcomed surprise. Such a lovely thought of the hosts.

The indoor space is small so if the weather isn't good this could be difficult.

The Owl Hut is a tiny but wonderful space completely in touch with nature and with everything you need. We absolutely loved the outdoor facilities and the personal touches from our hosts. Really enjoyed the constant bird song around the Hut and the fire pit. Would love to stay again!

Rich and Lyn couldn’t of been more helpful! They are such lovely people & went above and beyond to help me plan our weekend. The hut is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing and peaceful! We didn’t want to leave! I will be definitely be going back again. Exceeded all expectations and more!

The little touches that the owners had thought about to make our stay easy were well thought out, things like milk in the fridge, bread, eggs, tea and coffee, not big things but thoughtful things.

The little hill to drive up to the pod could do with maybe some lighting as it was a struggle to reverse down, with it being so dark in winter. Also couldn't get back up the hill in the dark, think lights maybe would have helped

Great hosts. The pod was great, cosy and had everything you could possibly need and more. The home made and local produce they provided was fantastic, especially the Welsh cakes. Love the quirky decor.

Honestly, there was not anything I could think of that could’ve been better. The atmosphere, the hut itself, location, even the parking, everything was great.

Location was perfect, out of view of others and you really feel like you’re in your own little world. The hut was amazing itself, couldn’t fault it. Had an Owl theme to suit the name of the Hut in which was subtly done in a lovely way! The homemade Welsh cakes were a great touch, really made you feel like you’re on holiday and we’re very tasty! Rich and Lynn provided more than they needed to, that alone speaks volumes. Location was great, not far from shops/pubs however we couldn’t find any walking route so the car had to be used - which isn’t an issue. An amazing getaway to which we will be happy to return time and time again, and recommend to others.

- Only thing we can possibly think of is a citronella candle to keep the midges away from the table outside, but that’s if you were reeeaally nit-picking.

The owl hut was really well equipped- with everything you could need including a hob, pots/pans/cutlery, fridge, fold-away tables, sink, shower etc. plus thoughtful extras like salt & pepper/ tea & coffee. You really can’t fault it. Perfect use of space, really comfortable bed, clean and a peaceful location in the trees. Good location with lots of lakes nearby - we did paddle boarding in Bala which is close, and kayaking on Llyn (lake) Gwynant at the base of Mount Snowdon. We loved the George III pub which is in a lovely setting and only down the road. Richard & Lyn are very good hosts with great communication and recommendations. We had a really nice couple of days for our 5 year anniversary. Thank you!

The bed was a little too crammed and it got really warm inside when the doors closed at night

It was amazing! But one thing that could be improved is that the bed is super uncomfortable (not just small, the mattress slopes to the middle. Topping and tailing helps).

Such a gem! Totally peaceful and isolated. At one with nature. Very friendly owners who leave you be but have thought of everything. Loads to do in the area and we woke up to birds on the table every morning. Such a cosy place. Bring bird seed!
