Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Everything! The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everywhere was spotless, clean and comfortable with everything you needed. The view from the window towards Kynace Cove was amazing and there was a pair of binoculars on the window sill to get an even closer view. Breakfast was great and plentiful, just what you need to set you up for the day

United KingdomPersonally we had zero dislikes. We were very happy with our stay and the service provided.
Very nice farmhouse B&B in a good location. We turned up and were welcomed by the owner Caroline. She was very nice and friendly. It was my wifes first time staying in a B&B style accommodation and at first wasnt sure about staying in somoenes house. But after she said that she felt very welcome afterwards and comfortable. We stayed there with our 6 year old son, the owners were also great with him too. He was running about playing with their dog rosco. The breakfast provided was substantial and delicious!. It was comprised of a selection of fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, melon, grapefruit etc) yogurt, cereals, pastries, toast, jams, and other spreads & a menu of hot cooked food such as, full cornish fry up, scrabled/poached eggs beans on toast etc and a great pot of hot tea or coffee to accompany it. So absolutely no complaints from us. The room was very nice, comfy and clean. The shower room looked brand-new. We had the triple room which has a double bed, and a single for the little one. Both beds were made with clean fresh sheets the room had a kettle and an assortment of teabags, coffee hot chocolate, milks and sugar. There's also a tv with plenty of channels. Again we were very satisfied with the room. The owners Caroline and Mike were both very friendly, approcahable & helpful. They gave us plenty of tips and advice on the local area for trips and locations to visit. All through out we were very happy with our stay there, we felt very welcome and would recommend this B&B to any other travellers.

Very friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast with lots of different options. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Shampoo, conditioner etc. came from local suppliers and were very nice.

The owners are just lovely, funny, warm and helpful. The old building is homely and has character. It is located close to the south coast path which is great for hikers, like me. I was helped with bus time tables and my lagguage and everything else needed. I do recommend this place and would stay there again.

SingaporeThe stairs. But then most accommodations in Europe is like this. The shared bathroom. But thankfully all the guests were clean and cooperative. I knocked my head in the shower cos of the low beam. Do be careful there.
The property was very close to Kynance Cove. That was why I booked it. I hesitated with this booking though because of the shared bathroom as I often get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. It turned out to be a fantastic accommodation. There was adequate parking just outside the property. Everything was clean and comfortable. Finally there is a bathroom with plenty of hooks and surfaces for clothes and your toiletries. 90% of accommodations don’t even have hooks let alone surfaces. Don’t owners know we need space for our soiled clothing and more space for our new set of clothing as well as space for toiletries? Well Haelarcher Farmhouse owners knows! Thank you! It was altra chilly this time of the year but the owners helped by bringing in a portable heater for me when I asked. Thanks again. The breakfast was superb with plenty to eat. I had a great uninterrupted night’s sleep. No worries about going to the bathroom. It was the most delightful stay.

IcelandI genuinely liked everything here.
I had a lovely stay here. The hosts are very warm and friendly and the room was wonderfully comfortable. I slept so well after a long day walking the trail. The B&B is right next to plenty of nice places to eat and drink with opportunities to hear live music in the evenings. The breakfast is great - perfect for fueling a long day of walking. The shared bathroom was spotlessly clean at all times. I wish I had stayed here much longer and made the most of its close proximity to beautiful beaches and hiking paths. The highlight for me was the Icelandic flag flying outside the property for my arrival. The owners try to put up flags for all their visiting nationalities and its such a nice touch. I really made me feel welcome and closer to home. Thank you!
