Beautiful building with lots of info about history. Free safe off road parking and great location. Easy check in and warm welcome. Our room was on 2nd floor spacious and comfortable. Tasty breakfast. There was a lovely looking lounge/bar but we didn't use as already had plans to go out. Check out till 11.00 so not in rush.

It was noisy at night, other guests speaking loudly, arguing and slamming doors at 01:30.

Location was perfect for access to Leeds city centre as well as the Yorkshire National park.

Breakfast - breakfast was brilliant! The staff in the breakfast room were a lovely pair. Bedroom - I booked a single and in my mind visualised a cot size bed. It wasn't it was a small double - that's what I would grade it as anyway. Location - excellent location in Headingly but on the beautiful quiet Shire Oak Road.

All good, from my point of view. If you like your hotels modern and/or recently refurbished, this might not be for you, but no complaints from me.

Room was warm, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast too. Hotel has a kind of old-fashioned charm about it - it's probably looked more or less the same since it opened in the 1950s.

It was the second time I have stayed in this beautiful and comfortable house, away from the corporate hotel atmosphere, what makes all the difference for feeling at home. And, again, it was lovely! We had a small doble room, which was very suitable for us. Excelent bed, god bath, all very clean and well kept. Breakfast was huge and delicious! Located in a beautiful and peaceful street and still very close to maind road with pubs, restaurants,market and public transport. And to top it all, staff were fully available, most helpful and very kind and smilling. Coming back to Leeds no doubt will stay here again!

This was a really nice hotel ,the staff made you welcome they are really friendly, the breakfast is fantastic,if you struggle with stairs then this is not for you,as there are no lifts parking at the hotel also good and it was spotlessly clean 😀

Traditional style hotel in quiet, leafy Headingley suburban road. Very handy for access to a wedding at the golf club. Friendly staff. Nice big family room. Good self serve breakfast.

A nearby alarm was screaming early evening from a local property but the staff were insistent on getting it sorted, which it was. Bathroom towel rail wobbly and had to plug in lamps. Not a big deal. On the morning we left there was a leak in another area we informed staff of, who were grateful so they could sort it. Staff all seem to be doing a great job with an older but beautiful property and we'd happily stay again.

Warm, very spacious room. Great staff. Highly sensible approach when we arrived early to park. Our room was ready so we were free to check in. Very comfortable bed. Thunderously hot plentiful water. Fab location. Didn't realise how many people were staying until breakfast. Great buzz and very friendly welcome and team. Loads of food, replenished swiftly and often. Good response to any queries.

I thought it was a little expensive for a single room and breakfast finished early for a weekend.

Very well located for our needs. Staff were friendly, cheerful and professional. The room was comfortable and quiet.

The fact that they is no lift or chairlift we were on second floor and really struggle with stairs so next time I’ll request first floor other than that perfect.

Loved the hotel we have stayed before and didn’t disappoint this time the staff are superb,very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble, the breakfast is very good and the staff really look after you will definitely stay again thank you.

I found the mattress and pillow too firm. A mattress topper would help, and a softer pillow.

As no dining and dimly lit downstairs, lacks atmosphere. Although wonderfully clean and maintained, it is an “older building” do not expect modernity. Breakfast is a buffet with all that entails.
