How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathroom does nor have a door or shower cutting to prevent water from spilling over when taking a shower which poses the risk of slip and fall
It was clean and breakfast was fantastic. Great view from the room. Location is close to the city centre

Unnecessary excessive parking costs, room was rather small, had to crawl to bottom to get out of bed. Totally unsuitable for infirm or disabled people. Quite pricey.
Location, comfortable bed which led to a good night's sleep. Pleasant staff. Good choice at breakfast.

Had an upgrade, more space and a sofa, but the bed was against the wall on one side. Not so easy to get out of in the middle of the night. Shower tray had big drainage cap which was easy to trip over or get a toe caught. Breakfast was ok but a bit disappointing. Fruit salad was just hard slices of apple, though there were some good bananas and oranges which I added myself. No bacon, sausages were tasteless, and only scrabbled egg( good). No tomatoes or mushrooms.
Location and reasonably quiet since next to a dual carriageway.

Booking.com information inaccurate, even on my latest email from them. The hotel is 1 Gower Street, not Grove Street. Parking is £20 daily not £15.
Very smart hotel. Never had to wait long for lifts, even during quite busy times.

I needed accommodation extension for another night but facility was SOLD OUT or fully BOOKED and I can understand why.!
Breakfast was of very GOOD Variety and tasty. And AMBIANCE was great too.

Car parking fees - very expensive Waited quite some time at check in and bar area due to lack of staff ( staff were really good and polite just not enough of them in busy times)
Breakfast good although it took awhile to replenish food. Excellent location for arena. Car parking fees very high considering your a paying guest at the hotel

Shocking £20 charge for 24 hours parking which is more than most other local car parks at a weekend.
Location was great for all of leeds and new and modern feel.was great

Lovely hotel. Very clean and modern. Only downside was having to wait for eggs bacon and beans. At least 10 mins. Also ordered a taxi the night before and it did t arrive. When we asked at reception it hadn't been booked. Thankfully another one was arranged and we got to the the station in time for our train

The property was reasonably priced, modern, clean and close to the coach station. There is also a wonderful Chinese restaurant just outside the building and the food is delicious!

Staff shortage so no food from menu in afternoon. Not a problem though and staff who were there were very nice.

The whole breakfast situation was diabolical not enough staff watching which items needed topping up. Got half my breakfast and had to stand and wait at least 10 minutes for beans and egg. Didn’t get chance for a nice relaxing breakfast with my husband as I was stood waiting for most of it. Not much variety on the cooked side either no tomatoes or mushrooms or black pudding no option for fried eggs. I counted 5 tables that needed clearing as well but no sign of staff.
Location was great the menu looked nice although we didn’t eat. Liked the location of our room but it wasn’t very big.

The hotel is in an excellent location and you can walk to the city centre in a matter of minutes. The complimentary breakfast was good. We appreciated the free wi-fi.

Rooms are small and the beds are very hard. The cooked breakfast isn't the best quality.
Nice clean hotel with a decent gym, bar area and carpark. Walkable to the city centre or a quick taxi ride.

Wierd room layout. One side of bed 6 inch from wall with loads of room the other side.

Not the best, only scrambled eggs no choice, food wasn't very hot... hash brown were empty so food got even more cold.. gave up waiting for them.
Quality not great, but could get as much as you wanted which suited many people.
