United KingdomI thought the kitchen/restaurant really let the hotel down. The menu was the same throughout the day, and was pretty uninspiring. The food was average to poor - the mac and cheese was anaemic and watery, the sides of veg seemed microwaved, the cooked breakfast came in very small portions, and was badly done. We had one dodgy tummy after the fish and chips. The whole operation seemed quite lazy. For a similar price, the Gara rock hotel restaurant is in a completely different league. It's such a shame and I think the only reason why the restaurant was relatively busy was because there aren't many other options nearby. Staff at the front desk were sweet but sometimes didn't seem very 'on it', and on a couple of occasions we rang reception and didn't get an answer.
The Harbour Beach Club was perfect for our new years stay. The location on the beach was stunning, the hotel was nicely designed, the room was a good size, with a massive comfy bed and lovely complimentary touches. The whole hotel was very clean. The spa facilities were great, and when we stayed not busy at all. The shuttle up to Salcombe was really helpful and easy, and parking was well managed - thank you Lee! We would definitely stay again.

United KingdomOnly once we couldn’t stay in the jacuzzi as our eyes were stinging due to too much chlorine additives. We reported it along with several other people and it was OK the next day. The banana plant needs attention in reception and the plant next to it was dead.
Excellent choice at breakfast well laid out buffet table with healthy fruit options. We had dinner one night and enjoyed the hake. The spa facilities are good.

United KingdomThe only downside was the roads at getting into Salcombe. We visited in December and they were tight, but quieter. I imagine that in the summer there would be lots or reversing back to find a passing place. Also, bearing in mind the proximity to the beach, it’s a shame there aren’t dog-friendly rooms available.

Very welcoming and friendly, the service from the staff was exceptional. Prime location, very peaceful and quiet and superb views! The spa was spotlessly clean, and very inviting. My friend and I both had the “drift away massage” which was very relaxing and professional. Sally (beauty therapist) was wonderful! Highly recommend. Perfect for a girlie weekend to drink Prosecco, enjoy good food and relax! We most certainly will be back! Thank you.

Rooms are spacious and very clean, the complimentary gin & tonic was a lovely touch.The spa was clean and very quiet early in the morning, pool was a very good size with a hot tub, sauna & steam room. The gym is also well equipped and surprisingly big. location is perfect just a 35 minute walk to the beautiful village with lots of shops and restaurants.
