How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

The breakfast let the whole thing down. My cup had a crack in, my mums was dirty. We had gone to get some fruit and our plates and cutlery was cleared from the table. We were well with in our time slot. Badly ran from my experiance other days may be differant.

The fact that health really debilitated Annette's enjoyment of her trip and sightseeing couldn't be enjoyed at all.
Annette enjoyed the hotel and facilities plus staff were welcoming and friendly, just she was sick most of the trip and couldn't eat due to.hrr ongoing health issues.

Parking instructions from the booking were incorrect. We changed car parks three times. No coat hooks in the room.

Shower was partially broken. Could only use one setting, although that was operational. Breakfast was adequate in enough but staff in the restaurant were a bit mediocre. No sense of purpose and no one managing. Tables were slow to be cleared whilst staff were chatting. Even when they set the tables they were missing basics. Staff in the restaurant were however pleasant and friendly.
Lovely big bed. Comfortable room. Great balcony. Nice ambiance in the hotel. Staff on reception were really welcoming. In particular an older gentleman who assisted us with left luggage was brilliant. Very attentive and helpful. Liked the Beatles theme. Not too gimmicky. Very attractive building.

The extraction fan in the bathroom was on constantly and there was a flashing light over the bed in room 113. The pillows and douvet have goose feathers, I'm allergic so had to ask twice at reception to have them changed, I eventually asked the room cleaner and she sorted it out for me.
It was a beatles theme hotel, if you are a fan you will love it. The location is great, just round the corner from Matthew Street.

Be careful getting in and out of the bath / shower. The floor of the bath isn't level with the floor, it's a little raised and the sides of the bath are quite high. My wife was stepping in to have a shower and feel. Thank God she wasn't hurt but it is a tricky step in, so be careful.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for experiencing the sights and sounds of the City.

The room walls are thin and we could hear noises from the hallway. The bathroom was a bit small (although it wasn't so bad). Other than that, we enjoyed the stay!
The room was big and comfortable. The decorations are great, especially if you are Beatles fan. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great... walking distance from a lot of main attractions.

Breakfast was ok,what you would expect, they had to replenish items as people came down,needed warm plates. Great size room,lovely modern bathroom, The Beatles memorabilia was good, subtle not tacky. Location was fab,staff were very friendly.

Not enough staff at the bar could have done with a bar person dedicated to making cocktails asif a few people were wanting cocktails it took far to long for a person was only wanting a pint

I did not like that it did not have a toilet cleaner. Also there were no slippers. So I had to use my shoes in the hotel which I really dislike since after walking entire day, I just want to take my shoes off and chill with my slippers.
Breakfast is good. I really liked the place of the hotel. It is very center. I can just go out and walk anywhere I want. Room is big and staff was really helpful with all the questions that I have. I can easily reach out to staff and discuss with them any problem of mine.

Our room and bathroom were quite dark and there was a lack of mirrors to do make up in etc as there was nothing above the dressing table.
