We stayed two nights in this beautiful cabin and we're greeted by the kind host John. Its a very peaceful and calm place with a magnificent view, we appreciated this break in our journey. As it is on the Isle of skye and as the host told us, you'll have to be careful about the potholes that are on the road to get there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the cabin was spacious, clean and in the best location with stunning views. John is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Skye!

Just for traveller information, on route the pot holes on Isle of Skye are lethal, this is not anything the host has control over. However if travelling at night in the dark be very careful as some are very deep and could cause car damage if not careful. No freezer compartment in fridge.

Beautiful location, right by waters edge, beautiful views. Plenty of socket points. The WIFI was very good. kitchen fully equipped, however, please note, there is NOT a freezer compartment in the fridge in the cabin we stayed in, but host said there was one in the other cabin but that was also occupied on our arrival, the microwave is also a convection oven and spacious to cook food hob rings, kettle toaster etc. We did take our air fryer with us and we used this quite a lot whilst there. The host supplied, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice on arrival, as well as salt, pepper and cleaning products. The bed was very comfortable and a very spacious bathroom with lovely powerful shower. towels supplied by host too. There are also binoculars to use in the cabin. The TV reception was good. The cabin was lovely and warm and you could control the heat settings and thermostat temperature. We travelled around the area by car as the cabin is quite remote, there is a small shop a few miles away if need essentials, but would advise you take all your food shopping with you and any other essentials you need. Portree is about 25 miles from cabin and lovely place to visit.

We didn’t particularly like storm Isha! The winds were easily gale force and rain blowing almost horizontally. The weather made exploring the local area uninviting. I would imagine a summer trip here would be just spectacular.

The location was perfect for us, quite remote, away from noise and crowds. We had an uninterrupted view of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Just a perfect location for winding down.

Nothing. It was great. The single track roads were quite pothole riddled and icy but we were forewarned and John made sure to supply a helpful guide if we needed mechanical help.

Everything was superb and John was great to make sure everything was in working order and we were comfortable

Cabin was just perfect for us. Extremely clean and everything that you would need, it's there. View from the cabin was beautiful, a short walk down to the lake (we saw seals!) and sunset behind the mountains just to the left of us. Peaceful. The landlord was really helpful and friendly.

The Host John had gone above and beyond to make the log cabin welcoming after a long drive he had put on the heating provided milk fruit juice tea and coffee. The kitchen was very well equipped and the views out onto the loch were amazing. I would happily recommend this location and accomodation.

Be aware that the local approach road is 'local' - single lane with some potholes - but no big deal.

If you want a real island experience then the remote location of the cabin is just what's needed. The owner kindly put the heating on before the arrival, sent us information about the local roads and how to get into the cabin. The cabin was well-lit, warm, spacious enough and very clean. Pretty much everything there needed for self-catering. The views across the water were great. The host was friendly, informative and discreet.

I can't fault the property at all, we loved our stay. The only issue here and across the island is the roads. So many potholes, and plenty large enough to seriously damage your vehicle. We were provided with a map of local garages. Just as well as we needed to get a replacement tyre after hitting a large pothole on the main road back from Portree. The council need to address this.

The cabin was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Lots of opportunities to spot local wildlife and the sheep from the neighbouring farm often stop by the gate for a visit. The owner was very helpful and welcoming and told us exactly how and when he could be reached if needed. Lots of useful things provided, such as a washer/dryer and tabs. Ideal for cleaning walking clothes.

This was our favorite place we stayed in Scotland. The cabins are really beautifully done and have a lovely view. They were a bit away from the rest of the crowds and we loved having that little break and our own quiet spot. We would absolutely book these again if we were back on Skye.

The accommodation is beautifully situated by the water, is very cozy and beautifully furnished and is equipped with everything you need for a stay of several days. Every day we were able to observe a few seals in the morning. It's also worth taking a longer walk to the tip of the small peninsula with a fantastic view.

Log cabin is overlooking the water. There were seals everywhere. Take the path down to the waters edge, and there is a nice picnic table where we ate dinner and enjoyed the view. The cabin had plenty of space for my spouse and I. Added bonus was the washer/dryer.

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful. John and Karen are gracious hosts, even offering to help us with petrol as one of the stations nearby was closed. The property itself is stunning. A picnic table by the shore is a perfect place to relax, watch the sunset and seals warming on the rocks. The cabin is cozy, well equipped and set in a tranquil scene. Having access to a washer/dryer was great as well! We would stay here again!

Bed size Shower size The male owner is a larger man, he couldn't shower comfortably or sleep with a partner comfortably

The experience was wonderful. Not exactly a LOG cabin, but a cabin made out of wood. And the bed was not large enough for 2 grown adult size 16+ ladies. All in all, a great time tho. If you cwtch, don't let the small bed get u down
