Very clean and comfortable, good location in north of Skye near Staffin. Very close to several good hikes, about 20 minutes from Portree. The owner was very helpful and communicative. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Nothing. Served our purposes, exceeded our expectations. But that’s the key- understand that you are going to be a ways from Portree.

Self catering semi detached, fully equipped home provided us a beautiful spot to rest after a day’s exploring/hikes. Kitchen was complete and we easily warmed up or cooked our meals- which we preferred rather than trying to find a place to eat or park in town. The home is located in Staffin, about 20 mins drive from Portree- we loved the privacy, the views of the seating areas, the options to eat outside or inside. Absolutely completed our stay. In terms of attractions, we didn’t realise Skye was such a large island. But there are many many places to explore in the North End: Old Man Storr is a 10 minute drive, the Quirang is your backyard (15 min drive to parking), brother’s point is a 10 minute walk. Apart from that, all other spots require a drive- 1 hour to fairy pools or Uig, 90 mins to Dunvegan… The photos don’t do this place justice! The property itself is lovely, proving ocean views on end and mountains on the other.

The beds didn’t have a headboard so I found that alittle uncomfortable to read at night.

The mattress sagged in the middle, but the bed was still very comfortable. The dishes were a bit dirty, but I am just guessing that the previous guests didn't wash them well enough.

Struggled a bit to find the place although to be fair it seems like their sign had blown off in a recent storm so I doubt it would be a problem in the future. No soap provided in any of the bathrooms. I understand no detergent being provided for washing clothes but I think most people would expect soap so are unlikely to bring their own on the first day.

The wi-fi is the only downfall as it was dropping connection at times and when it was up, was not really fast enough for streaming. I put this down to the islands broadband infrastructure and not due to the host. The island is quite remote, so will not have city speeds. It was sufficient to do internet surfing though.

Great communications with the host Rachel. Easy check in and out. The place is immaculate and very spacious. All of the facilities were great and the place was nice and cosy upon arrival.

Wifi would only really work on the phone, when it was the only connected device. When connecting the laptop (and other devices not connected), the internet was quite slow. Difficult to work remotely unless you have EE service and could make your own hotspot.

Lovely 2 bedroom cottage where you can watch the cows go out in the morning and return in the evening. Kitchen equipped with enough cookware to make 2 meals simultaneously. The washing machine was great to have in the house.

Beds were a bit short for me, so sleeping slightly diagonally fixed that and the wifi had some hiccups, but that was sorted since I still had data signal from the prepaid chip I bought when I arrived in the UK.

Place was very cozy and spotless, the house was very warm and very well isolated, so you could enjoy, rest and recharge after your day of trekking and traveling around.
