I had to fill out this ridiculous safety checkin and I had to download their app to do it and it wanted to exhort so much information from me. I’d avoid Selina in the future just to not have to do this again.

I like the public spaces and the staff

The area is abit rough and I didn’t feel very safe walking from the train station to the hostel at night. I wish the place provided food or had a restaurant because I didn’t have a lot of time to go out for meals and it would have been convenient to eat at the hostel.

The beds were comfy and there was curtains for each bed, a lamp and storage so you could have some privacy. The showers were nice with good pressure. They provided towels. The lounge and bar area was very trendy.

The room was very warm, no aircon or fan, and no opening window. The shared bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the shower was cold, both in the evening and in the morning

The toilet seat was really wobbly and the flush button was broken! The window wasn't very big either, so the room was quite stuffy, but I appreciate it's particularly hot at the moment!

The building and decor were fun, the beds were really comfy, and breakfast was great. The reception staff were lovely.

The water in the morning was cold, I think that such a big hostel could manage their water-warming system in a better way. The bathroom in the female dorm could have some additional hanger/shelf

The staff was really nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the reception area was cosy

I paid £77 for a room with no curtains. I slept well enough... until sunrise, but then the room was very light. Other residents were very noisy in corridor, but this isn't a reflection on the accommodation... merely an observation. Also needs a hook in the shower room, as I had to put clean towel and clothes on the floor. The light is also on a timer, so whilst fine in daylight, you may end your shower in darkness in winter months.

Staff were lovely, and the common areas were pleasant. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and cushions. The room had a full mirror, space to hang clothes and a desk space. Whilst I booked knowing I had shared bathroom facilities, I was pleased at how clean these were.

The windows faced the railway tracks, one of the windows was loose so whenever a train or the wind went past it would rattle. Had to resolve this by shoving some cards in there. The bathroom was quite dated looking, mold in locations as well as dirt by the sides.

We were moved to a different room, a "free upgrade" which was nice. The room itself was large, with good space and a very good-sized bed. Nice furnishings.

The shower- it just trickles from abouve so you have to get your hair wet each time. The shape of the room was weird - not a very good use of space. There was a weird step which you tripped on every time in the room.

Staff were pleasant. Able to book last minute. Near to train station.

The single/queen rooms are very small. Basically the size of the bed and the bathroom. Can be a dark and sketchy street during the night

Close to Birmingham’s business centre, good location
