The twin room beds were fairly uncomfortable On arrival it was freezing and took time to work out boiler (no handbook or instructions)

The TV’s are streaming services only so completely reliant on the WiFi . The WiFi was not great so when watching tv it buffered and froze every 20-30 minutes and had to be reset.

Very homely property with lots of personal touches. Nice view of the lake.

Only negative was the hot tub hadn’t been cleaned properly! We were going to report it but just cleaned it ourselves.

The lodge was stunning, really well decorated with cute touches, and it was mostly very clean (odd little thing but nothing huge). The hot tube was amazing after a long day shopping in York.

Outdoor furniture really needs an improvement. The cusions had been left out so were soaking when we arrived and when it eventually dried it was so battered and uncomfortable you couldn't really enjoy the outdoor space. Other than that it's excellent.

The only thing I didn't like was the outdoor furniture. Other lodges had dining seating outside which I think would have been a lot better so we could sit outside and have our food on comfier furniture.

The scenery is amazing, being right next to the lake. The lodge was really well equipped, even had some treats for the dogs! It was really spacious, the hot tub was amazing to be in, especially at night when the lake was lit up. I was also surprised with how quiet it was on site.

Hot tub chemicals were a little overpowering and very foamy.

Couple of issues with our lodge: - grill/oven didn't work - lights in hot tub didn't work Despite these issues being mentioned, nothing got fixed. Great customer service received upon sending an email on our return and this must be mentioned 👍

Lovely park. Extremely well maintained, clean and very quiet. Beautiful lodge. Loved the different lakes on the park with water fountains.

Nothing everything was what I expected if not better.

Ideal location to visit the center of york about 30 min drive from Lodge. was Nice and clean and extremely relaxing overlooking the lake watching the ducks pass by while enjoying the hot tub . Jjs resturant on site was excellent for food very big portions and a wide selection of food on the menu ,hence why we ate there for tea over our four night stay . Lovely place to stay and very polite and friendly staff. Will hopefully make it back again in the future.

The only negatives I have is that the patio door leading out onto the decking could do with oiling, as it makes a loud squeaking noise when it's opened. It would be ideal if there was an outdoor dining table & chairs, as well as the outdoor seating area, as you can't really eat a full meal whilst sat on them.

We stayed here to celebrate our first Wedding Anniversary. The setting of the lodge is beautiful, right on the small lake which was full of ducks & wildlife. So quiet & peaceful, especially when you're sat in the hot tub of an evening with a cheeky drink. The lodge itself was immaculate inside & out & very comfortable. The staff at Reception & JJ's are extremely friendly & accommodating. We will definitely be booking again.

Nothing to dislike about the property but a 2 seater bistro set and a parasol would enhance the facilities. Also there were no plastic glasses for the hot tub

The mattress being upside down on the first night, we thought it was a really uncomfortable bed with springs popping up, turns out we were sleeping on the wrong side! When we swapped it over it was a lot more comfortable! Easy mistake to make.

The location of the lodge was one of the best on the site with views over the lake and fountains. The site was so quiet, the times that we were on site we hardly saw anyone even though it was Easter and busy, but that is due to the great design that you get your own piece of privacy. The lodge's open space made it feel really luxurious and the washing machine and dishwasher were extras we didn't see listed. Alexa through the inbuilt speakers was a bonus too! X
