Stayed with my daughters. The room was very clean and comfortable. Haven't stayed in a hostel for years, must say we were presently surprised. The provision of breakfast, cerals, and coffee was a very welcome surprise.

The bed sheets were a little too small for the beds, meaning they pinged off in the night. Could have done with a box grater as only a Parmesan one could be found.

The over all feel was great. Beautifully decorated with interesting artworks and theatrical props displays. Free silent disco headphones were brill. Lots of wood, felt like a ski lodge. Very comfy sofas in the snug. Kitchen great. Loved the free fridge and breakfast bits. Mezzanine family room was delightful and kids loved having their own section. Better than a hotel.

If you are arriving by train with luggage, there is a very steep hill to walk up in order to get to the hostel.

Fantastic hostel. Well equipped kitchen, v clean rooms, wonderful staff, lovely “snug” room to sit in and chat, large dining room/lounge. Excellent value for money.

Amazing place in a lovely location! Our little one loved the ladder up to the other two beds! Also the kitchen with free breakfast items and tea and coffee was great. The lady who showed us around was lovely. Wish we stayed longer that one night. Would definitely recommend!

I've stayed in quite a number of hostels and I'm not a fan of the toilet and shower being in the room like the room I stayed in. Good for me as a single person, but be aware of this if using as a hostel in peak time. Personal preference. Received a long email that was exhaustive about all the facilities, but it would be nice if the first thing it said was the room I was in, instead of having to deduce where to go. If you are staying in as a hostel then I'm sure the long email will be useful.

I booked a room for myself for one night in down season so I could meet ex colleagues that night. I can very much appreciate that this would be a good hostel. It seems well put together. Clean and organised. Good location in town but quiet, and has carparking. Not common in Hebden Bridge.

There was some noise from the room above but this was very quickly resolved.. the manager moved us to another room for our second night.

Great location and very clean and warm. There was a lovely snug opposite our room with a wood burning stove, so cosy!

This was our second stay at the hostel. Overall easy and comfortable experience, however it lack a bit of atmosphere with it not being staffed all the time and people keeping themselves to themselves and no music playing. Some of the bedding’s did not match the mattress size and duvet. Some very late comers were also noisy and the doors between dorms were open (up and downstairs). Location is brilliant, kitchen well equipped and with free breakfast items. I guess the option of a cooked breakfast would be a nice addition to ass that extra atmosphere. Overall we had a good time.

The rooms have a mezzanine which is a delight for children. It allows them to feel that this is their own area. Accessed by a pine ladder it creates a fort! Also there is a very calm, very friendly dog who likes meeting people. As it's at the back of an historic building, it has a characterful approach. For those who require it, there's a bus stop outside the gate which affords easy access to other walking areas. ( Within Hebden Bridge itself, the public transport system is excellent...train and bus). The fact that, although it's a vegetarian hostel, it welcomes others but obviously you stick to the ethos (eating out, easily done where necessary. Not a problem for most people particularly with breakfast items. ) The silent disco is a charming idea.

If I had to pick any issue, could do with more plug sockets, none up on the mezzanine floor space.

Great location, great overnight stay, fab, gem of a hostel. It is a hostel, so basic accommodation but clean & comfortable. Nice big, clean kitchen, with teas & coffee!! Large comfortable social area, great place to stay 👍
