Poor maintenance and investment by owner. Mold on roof and around most tiles In the bathroom. General maintained around the pool is showing its age. Pool was freezing steam room was hot then no steam for a long time. It's a shame as the price isn't an average price 140 for one night for average facilities. We've been going for years now will start looking around.

Staff are amazing, anything they do cleaning, service or cooking is top notch. Bed is comfy and room was generally clean apart from bathroom.

The only thing we didn’t like about our room which is pretty trivial was the bathroom having a shower curtain over the bath. Perhaps a walk in shower, L bath, or Even a shower screen would have been better.

We received a friendly welcome. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy, our breakfast was lovely too. the location suited us perfectly.

Pool was a little cold as pump broken. Couldn’t be helped for our stay and I did manage to swim in it! Some areas could do with an update within the room but didn’t affect our stay.

Lovely peaceful surroundings and beautiful building. Friendly staff in all areas. Nice room which was very clean. Bar food was fantastic. Nice cosy sofas to sit on and enjoy food/drink in the bar area or a restaurant for a more formal setting if preferred.

Room very dated indeed. Hotel was a labyrinth and hard to navigate. All food expensive, even the bar menu. Receptionist would not send room service to room unless I went back to reception with a credit card. This was miles away from my room being at the opposite end of the hotel.

I was excited about hot tub but it was so cold, same as the pool. I have heard the heating broke so it was just unfortunate it happened when we stayed that weekend. I am also shocked that 4 star hotel doesnt have proper coffee machine, only automatic one that dispense powdered milk, without frother so i couldnt have my vegan late. However they brought oat milk and had filter coffee instead. Having a coffee machine in 4* hotel is a must though. Also little fridge in the bedroom would be useful.

Hotel is really lovely with helpful staff and pretty gardens. We came early but we were able to use pool facilities until check in which was great. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was nice and spacious. Bathroom had large walk in shower and the water pressure was brilliant. We went for dinner and breakfast. Food was very good and I am gluten free and vegan and they definitely cater for this. Overall we had very nice stay.

Could have more ambiance in the bar and restaurant - warmer lighting / candles .

The staff were very friendly. The surroundings very nice . Didn’t have time to visit the spa but it looked great .

Oh sorry! The small wine glass that my wine was served in, compared to the lovely wine glasses on the table.. if your ordering wine by the glass at the table, take them off then and then use the glasses for the wine .. don’t bring a small bar glass of wine and then take the nice glasses away… :-(

The food and service and rooms were all great.. we had the chicken main dish which was lovely, I did ask for some more gravy towards the end of the meal as we both needed it otherwise the service and food were exceptional thanks Kate

Good service, clean and nice atmosphere. We had to leave a day early and the hotel was very accommodating, refunding us the price of our room for that night, which I was not expecting. Would recommend the hotel!

The only thing was the bar area didn't have any proper tables to eat your food from. They were low coffee tables, which made it a little uncomfortable when eating.

Our room was very near the front door so with windows open (it was hot) you could hear everyone coming and going. Didn't bother us too much
