Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomStaff were not particularly helpful, paying £10 to park our car at the parking spaces at the back of the B&B only had 3 spaces at the back of the building not a carpark. Stated breakfast included when booked not the case . Has a bar a pool room but only allowed to use at weekend. Decor very dated , holes in the ceiling , door to room was a struggle to lock, as lock was loose
Beds were comfy Clean accomadation

United KingdomThe hotel could do with a good upgrade regards decor, carpets etc. We had a leaking toilet and a mattress that springs stuck in my back.(but to be fair to the staff they changed mattress ) Entertainment would be great in this hotel with having bar in basement. Also prices a little high at bar.
Staff were brilliant (faultless)couldn't do enough for you.and location was perfect in every way.

United KingdomStaff seemed a little fumbled, place smelt musty/old , our shower room wasn't functional as light didn't work and hot water was on a timer (old building) weren't aware until late in the evening when couldn't see properly to brush teeth or shower we informed hotel staff in the morning who got straight on to rectify the issue and gave us a key for another room to shower ect.
Breakfast was lovely, beds were ok too, staff tried to rectify issues.

United KingdomAlthough the quality of the breakfast was very good. It was all squeezed into one hour, which for all the guests was extremely manic. The breakfast staff did there best to keep bread, milk and juices coming out, they were a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests. More toasters would have been an advantage too. Corridor to bedroom was absolutely boiling hot, with radiators raging, which as the temperature outside was quite mild, we found a bit strange.
Very good location for all the North shore facilities. Nice, clean bedrooms and bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable, if a little warm (some may see this as a good thing).

United KingdomThis b&b is a bit old fashioned in decor. Walls quite thin as could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and also a boiler or similar seem to go off a lot in a room next to ours, which was ok until our last night when it started at 6am. Nobody at reception to inform on check out.
Location of this b&b was brilliant. Staff were friendly, although not always around. Good choice of breakfast with cereal, toast and English breakfast with juice and hot drinks.

United KingdomRooms very small with very tight bathroom and shower cubicle No air conditioning and rooms were far too hot and not ideal as we had a heat wave. Very noisy at night. Propel sitting outside in other hotels drinking until 4.30 am. Barely slept for whole weekend due to noise and heat. Outdated and smells of damp but staff could not have been nicer or more helpful
Staff were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Staff allowed us to have breakfast earlier as we were there for a dance competition. Great wee bar area with pool table and staff made sure kids had music on TV that they liked

United KingdomI am disabled but our room was small at the bottom of the bed about 15 inches and sides was 30 inches. The room was out dated but it was ok just to sleep for a night. The bathroom was small with grouting colour blue pen around all the tiles. Breakfast was ok but if you want tea or toast you got to do it yourself. Had no one to give us a lift with our luggage and there are no draft beer only bottle or cans £4 each parking £10 a night
Location was great close to the tower. Ramp outside to front door lift to all floors

United KingdomThe bar only opens at certain times there is never nothing decent to drink in the bar . It's poorly stocked . When u been walking miles round Blackpool it's nice to have a drink n chill in the bar . No entertainment . I just feel it would do better if it improved on these areas . We have stayed here several times but sadly we won't be back . Also we got moldy bread at breakfast the manager put this right instantly but still not good
I used to love this place but now it has new owners and new staff it's just not the same
