Wait for staff at receptionist and car park round the back too dark to find the back entrance to hotel..

Had to wait for staff at reception for check in staff nowhere to be seen so had to ask bar staff to find receptionist. Room comfortable and big bathroom clean and adequate. Breakfast was very good, choice of 4 on the manu.would stay here again most definitely.

Having to wait 20 mins to check in with nobody else in reception at the time. Poor breakfast with unhelpful staff Damaged room door frame and lock making the room vulnerable tonfirced entry.

- I booked a king size room but was given a twin - Room was a bit tired looking and in need of some refurbishment - Mouldy bathroom with cracked tiles - Shower leaked on to the bathroom floor - Sheets and towels were clean but stained - No real coffee at breakfast (only instant!)

- Lovely location with ample free parking - Good facilities - Friendly staff - Room was very quiet, even with events on downstairs - Good water pressure in the shower - Sockets by the bed in my room (always a bonus!) - Nice selection at buffet breakfast

The hotel feels dated and could do with some investment, especially in the corridors and bathroom. Cleanliness could be improved, specifically in the bathroom.

A comfortable and affordable bed for the night that provided a good nights sleep. Rooms are spacious and feel modern and breakfast and access to the on-site gym were included but weren't used. Ample parking.

Slight musty smell around the toilet area and the beds need to be upgraded other than that excellent.

The reception was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly , accommodated an early check in as I was going into Cardiff, couldn't have been more helpful. Bar was great on return to hotel, and stayed for lunch the next day which just hit the spot before a very long journey.again the staff service couldn't have been better.

Needs more direction on how to use TV's as the one remote was for both TV's and wouldn't work sometimes

Trying to get the TV to work. Very complicated. Missed paid for breakfast on site said it was from 6am. When I booked in the 1st breakfast I could have was 7.15. No good for me as I had to leave for work early.

The room felt quite dated, particularly the bathroom which we struggled to keep dry post showering. We had a family room with 2 beds and the single bed was quite uncomfortable.

Breakfast was good, staff nice, self served, well timed, not pressured Dinner was really really good, good fun server and nice wine.

If there was anything not to be happy about - no fresh fruit at the breakfast bar.

Friendly staff, good facilities and location good for various good days out. Very accommodating when we asked why the menu sheet was not on the table one of the days, as my husband had decided to have smoked salmon on our last day.

There was a comment card in the room from the previous guest, which made me question what else was missed. The WiFi was very ‘iffy’ but they did say it was going to be upgraded.

The food let's this hotel down its a really lovley hotel I love it but we will go to local pub for food now we keep giving it a go but not anymore my chicken was inedible so not wanting to appear rude my partner ate it he was ill for 2 days after that there is so much wrong with the restaurant, which is a shame as it could be a goldmine

Location is lovley hotel is lovley we never have breakfast at hotel as tried it 3 times and was denided fried egg which is all we have with toast so £10 for tea and toast quite expensive.

Few things that need doing we think would be a good clean on the ground floor in the hallway leading to the rooms, as very unpleasant smell. I do believe the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment though. Upper floor didn't have the smell thankfully where some of our family and friends were staying. The rooms themselves thankfully didn't have that smell. The honeymoon suite is amazing as long as you don't look at the nets and window, definitely think windows need replacing before the damp penetrates anymore.

My now husband and I had our wedding here. Had beautiful day surrounded by family and friends. The venue on the day was dressed beautifully. The staff were all very helpful and made us all feel welcome. Big Thanks to Sasha our wedding coordinator 👍
