Could have done with blackout blinds on the windows. Was light really early. The car park was offsite it wasn’t a problem but thought of my mum and she’d have probably struggled.

The only snag we had with our stay was no hot water on our first morning but George was quick to fix the problem and keep us updated.

The property’s location was excellent - right in the centre of Ambleside and a two minute walk from bus stops taking you to Windermere and Grasmere. Lots of amenities and walks nearby. The room itself was beautiful, very comfortable and lovely decor. The facilities were superb and coffee/tea/hot chocolate and biscuits were restocked daily, along with a freshly made bed and towels, which was a much appreciated touch. The property is dog friendly and our dog loved her stay as well, towels were provided in the porch for wiping off muddy and wet paws before entering

Easy and seamless check in. Clean and comfortable rooms and beds. Great location right in centre of Ambleside. Parking permit provided and car park really close. Nice and quiet.

Location was ideal, central in Ambleside within a stones throw of the shops, car parks, pubs/bars and restaurants. Perfect for nearby walks and attractions. Access to the building was secure but easy no navigate. The room was fantastic, modern décor but not taking away from the old features of the building. Bed was comfortable and all amenities were as expected, toiletries included too. Nice tea/coffee tray too with a good choice of quality biscuits. Parking free of charge nearby with the use of the provided permit, which could also be used in a few other car parks in nearby towns. The host was on hand via email/phone and answered the one query we had very quickly... really helpful!

I fell in the bathroom and bruised my arm, twice. There are two changes of level. The top one is not a problem as the step is bigger but you can’t always see the smaller step due to the tile pattern. May I suggest edge marking to prevent future accidents.

Nothing, something super picky, the bed was maybe a little smaller than expected but that is being really really picky but realistically it was completely fine and very comfortable

Fantastic location and friendly staff, super helpful information in handbooks and direct messages from the host with fast responses, thought it was a very considerate touch to talk about traffic problems outfront, something not in the hotel’s control but to make the effort to make us aware prior was incredibly thoughtful and added a very personal feel to the stay

It was a little noisy due to the road and pub across the road but ear plugs were supplied. I would suggest a sticker on the step in the bathroom as I missed it due to same colour as the rest of the floor and had to catch myself on the wall.

The room was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The separate bathroom was very nice and my husband loved the bath. Great location for town and to the carpark. The parking pass saved us money too.

Super Cosy Room in a gorgeous stylish yet quirky Townhouse, location Perfect, extremely close to everything. Parking Permit is a brilliant perk of the Booking, especially as we could use it at so many other car parks around The Lakes. Totally Dog Friendly down to providing towels to dry off your muddy pup after, in our case, a few soggy walks. We would highly recommend this lovely Townhouse - will happily return ourselves, loved every minute.

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Ambleside. Lovely well appointed room - thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were also very helpful with the issues caused by the extreme weather and offered discounted price for the necessary extra nights stay we had to take. Excellent hotel and highly recommended.

En-suite bathroom was a tiny bit snug.

Excellent central location and having a parking permit was a great bonus. Room was warm and comfortable even on a wet November week. Team were very accommodating and Wi-Fi was excellent.
