Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing .
Absolutely fab place to stay. It’s like home from home but with amazing views as well as enjoying farm life with the sheep and lambs. Angela is one the nicest women you will ever meet. So friendly welcoming chatty nothing is too much to ask . So comfortable all facilities you could ask for good personal touch. Absolutely beautiful breakfast good range. Loved it being at end of a lane as it was peaceful no through traffic just country side friendly faces and sheep. Angela’s dad sister and brother in law work the farm they are very welcoming friendly and will let you look round the farm and introduce you to there lovely sheep and lambs when they have them . There is nothing we would change about this place and we look forward to staying again. Tips for other travellers Remember is this a working farm but it is clean and not muddy it is at end of a lane so it’s peaceful great for walkers but if you like hustle bustle and a London type hotel then this isn’t for you . This place is a clean friendly working farm a home from home experience great for relaxing walking and being with nature . If you like a drink or food there is two pubs about 5mins drive from the farm probably about 15 mins walk there is also another pub a bit further called the fat lamb which there is 10% off vouchers for from Angela nearest village with shops ect is 11 mins drive which is Kirby Stephens .

United KingdomNothing to dislike as we’ve found exactly what we like in getting away from it all. You can walk directly onto the fells. A car is essential and I plan to educate myself about sheep spotting!
It’s remote real- ness and excellent care of our needs; including our dog. Breakfast was superb and Angela had no problem adjusting to my dietary preferences and was very helpful about anything we asked.

The accommodation was clean, smartly presented and cosy. The breakfast was 1 of the best I've ever had and gluten free options available, the scenery was beautiful even if it was raining heavy when we arrived, finally Angela the owner was welcoming, made us feel at ease and very polite, she helped my daughter out with a personal issue that was much appreciated and I will highly recommend stopping at High Greenside, I know I wil be stopping here again .

United KingdomHigh Greenside was just lovely. We had a twin room which was advertised as small but it had comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities (coffee, hot chocolate and a good variety of teas), good Wi-Fi and a hot shower. I noted a heater in the bathroom and while we didn’t have to use this, it would have been welcome on a cold morning. A hearty hot breakfast (the cabbie even knew of its reputation ) was made to order but there was also a selection of cereals and juices. We also ordered lunch which was generous in size and well worth £5. There was a picnic table on the grassed area on the front lawn where it was nice to sit and take in the farm sounds and peacefulness of the countryside. For coast to coast walkers, the BnB is about 8kms from Kirby Stephen but cabs are available (~£17). Angela, the host was very friendly and we would highly recommend this BnB.

United KingdomSo lovely staying with Angela at her guest house on a working farm. It’s nothing fancy but it’s a charming open quiet space with everything you need inc fridge space for you to use plus help-yourself teas and loo roll as the rooms are not serviced. The breakfast is excellent and if you need any tweaks to it, let Angela know a day before (as we chose to so food is not wasted) and you get exactly what you actually want.

Angela is a fantastic host she made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything and she was very helpful with lots of local information. The room was clean, nice and cosy. there was everything we needed with lots of different teas and coffee available. Breakfast was superb, the best that I have ever had at a B and B, the first time I'd been able to have all the components of a full English breakfast gluten free. A great location with lots of walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be visiting again.
