Warm welcome from Gus and Sherry. Lovely property, beautifully presented. Decor was unusual and reflected owners’ interests and personality. Comfortable room with little extras like home made wine chilling with milk in small fridge as well as sweet home baked treats. Thoughtful items like pillow mist and masks made for relaxation. View from the bedroom of a wonderful rear garden which was a visual feast. Exceptional menu for breakfast, continental followed by cooked dishes offered traditional and unusual choices guests. Gus & Sherry are special hosts and make guests feel special. Highlander House is the model for any small hotel or guest house. Comfort, a little luxury, calm - what a combination for our short break. I had an absolutely delightful stay at Highlander House this past weekend and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, the hosts Gus & Sherry made me feel incredibly welcome with their warmth and hospitality. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast each morning was also a highlight. The attention to detail in every aspect of the service was impressive, and the cozy, charming atmosphere made my stay truly memorable. This bed and breakfast along with its hosts Gus & Sherry go above and beyond to ensure their guests have an exceptional experience. A well-deserved 10 out of 10!

This was a lovely place for a relaxing weekend away. Perfect hosts, beautiful B&B. Gus and Sherry are amazing hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic food and a beautiful room. Didn’t want to leave. Would return in a heartbeat.

From the start we were welcomed by Gus. Shown to our room, at our leisure we joined him for a coffee to discuss best places to eat for dinner. Our room was immaculate, cosy and extremely comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. We faced beautiful gardens to the rear. We had tea and coffee facilities and lovely wee extras, Chocolates and bottles of water. Small fridge in room also. Bathroom was lovely with a spacious shower, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner for use also. You can Bluetooth your music through mirror in bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and Gus couldn’t be more obliging. Homemade Granola from Sherry was amazing and I don’t usually eat granola. I left with recipe. On second day we returned to our room and a small package was left with home baked pecan slices. We were contacted before arrival to ask if we had any dietary requirements.

I had the most loveliest stay at Highlander House B&B. They were extremely welcoming and couldn’t do more for me.

No private parking at property but availability to park on road or pavement opposite - covered by property cctv camera. Some additional drawer space would be good is staying longer.

Located close enough to walk to shops and ferry. Room was beautifully furnished, bed was extremely comfortable and back garden view was lovely. Two seats and table in room allowing space to sit. Coffee maker, kettle and small fridge with milk and wine located in room. Biscuits and cakes provided each day which were a delight. Gus was extremely welcoming and happy to share his local knowledge and to make recommendations for evening meals and places to visit. He was interested in his guests and was happy to accommodate any requests if possible. Gus and Sherrie even offered us a lift back to the B&B when they met us out walking. Extremely happy with our stay at The Highlander and hoping to return again.

Everything. Great breakfast in a very relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for Gus and Sherry - they could not have been more helpful and attentive. The room was lovely and leant itself to wonderful views. We had a fabulous stay at the Highlander.

We did not dislike anything we could not find any faults.

Breakfasts amazing,local products and so much choice. Attention to detail is amazing,hosts attentive without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice little touches with homemade cakes and homemade rose wine. Would definitely recommend.

Gus and Sherry were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the Island. The little sweet bakes we found in our room after we returned from day exploring is a good example of how Gus and Sherry go above and beyond as hosts.

Just had a 2 night stay at this exceptional B&B expertly looked after by Gus and Sherry, who were warm and friendly, and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, well decorated and incredibly comfortable with everything you need provided. Including delicious home made gluten free biscuits and wine. The bed was so comfy, slept like a baby, and the bathroom was modern with a super dual shower. Breakfast was superb and set you up for the day. The sea view was spectacular and thoroughly enjoyed watching the boats and ferries. Would return here in a heartbeat and highly recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful Stay.

It couldn’t be better!

Sherry and Gus are wonderful people and were exceptional in their attentiveness to their guests’ needs, going to great lengths to make sure all your wishes come true, even unrealistic ones such as getting Nasi Lemak for breakfast while serenaded by Leonard Cohen! The room was perfect with splendid sea views, the most comfortable bed, and surprise sweet treats to boot.

Gus and Cheri our hosts were so attentive to our needs and the needs of the other guests. They could not have been nicer. Nothing was too much trouble. Their attention to detail in terms of their service and the quality of their rooms and cooking was exceptional. We were even supplied with wine in our room as well as tea and coffee, plus sweets and cakes as a surprise each day. We could not have asked for more and had a very enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend the Highlander House B&B. It was better than some high class hotels we have stayed in.
