Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanySome things were missing. Like dishwasher tabs, detergent, toilet paper were less. So we had to rebuy this things. The oven is not working.
This appartement has got a dishwasher, washing machine and so one. This appartement is set up nice. We had a good time.

HungaryThe kitchenware was very minimal. If spending more days in an appartment and not in hotel I'd appreciate a bit more equipped kitchen, to be able to create simple meals. What is a negative that the location of the appartment is INCORRECT on Google maps (which is also used on the Booking website). Of course it is the fault of Google Maps, but it would be good to communicate to the guests that the information on the Booking site of the appartment is NOT correct, and provide some instructions how to get there.
The appartment is good, while a bit interesting with the multiple floors, it has some advantages.

QatarAs soon as you enter from the main door, the main walkway has a very odd smell. Although it gets a bit better once you enter the apartment but still not the best especially downstairs in bedrooms. The furniture, especially in bed rooms, is quite old and tiring. Mattresses aren't that comfortable. Bathroom needs major attention as floor was coming off. Shower head was broken. Towels provided looked like have been in use for a while. Iron board didn't have any cloth on so can't be used. You need to pay a deposit of £150 online directly to the owner before you check in. Once you pay that, then you will get the real address of the property, as one provided on booking.com is further down the road. I did get the deposit back after about a week or so. If a little more attention is paid in upgrading and refreshing the washroom and bedrooms, this can be an outstanding property.
The apartment location is quite convenient. It's 10-15 mins walk into town centre and uxbridge town centre. It has fish and chips dining next door, if you're into that. There is parking space available although I didn't use it. You've Netflix and amazon prime available on TV, which was a bonus. The kitchen has all the necessary utensile and white goods to make your stay comfortable. The lounge had ample seating space along with dining table. 4 adults can easily sleep in 2 double beds.
