Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery central location, parking underneath the hotel. £15 per 24hrs, which is about the norm for Bath. Modern hotel, not vastly spacious rooms, but everything well appointed.

United KingdomThe latches to operate the window made it difficult to close. The lip of the sink could have been cleaner.
The hotel smelled amazing. Emma's, where we had breakfast was beautiful and stylish. The choice for breakfast was superb.

United KingdomNothing special.
The location is in the middle of Bath city and easy to access to the Roman baths. Also, the room was wide and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast very much since it has lots of variety of fruits and food. In addition to that, the check out was easy just by returning the keys in the box when checking out.

United KingdomI think the insulation needs a bit of freshening up as there was damp near the windows
Great location and with really good facilities. It was a busy weekend and had a small queue at reception, but we were really happy that we could easily walk to the city centre and not move the car any more. The room was in good nick with enough facilities to keep everyone happy

United KingdomI’ve been charged twice for my stay and am currently in my overdraft and paying fees on that everyday. I’ve tried to phone 26 times today over the space of 5 hours and had no answer. When I got through on Thursday (after 17 calls), I was told the money would be back in my account within 2 working days (it already had been 3 days). It’s now been 4 working days and they still haven’t refunded me and they are impossible to get hold of. There’s no email address and they do not answer the phone.
Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful

United KingdomThe hotel felt a little bit worn out. The shower had some cosmetic broken bits (not material but just a bit of a poor effort). The bar seemed inexperienced, they had run out of diet cola mixers / drinks and had seemingly turned the hot chocolate machine off early (so no hot chocolate available from a while before the bar closed). When we ordered coffee they swamped it with ice cold milk (rather than either having it on the side or using not quite so much ice cold milk) so they brought out cold coffee which I had to send back. I overhead a couple of conversations at the front desk along the lines of 'we used to do that before covid, but haven't reintroduced it' along with running out of large bath towels for one of the guests. So they just seemed a bit off their game really. The left side lift also had a power cut (as we were told by a couple of slightly shocked guests who had a short blackout surprise). While there are various messages around about their green policies, that didn't seem to link to them giving out individually wrapped biscuits with the coffee/tea in the room, or lack of recycling (perhaps they sort the rubbish they collect, but there was no indication), so they seemed a bit green washed rather than addressing some easy points which quickly add up for a large hotel. Oddly the duvet cover was about 80% of the size of the duvet, so they left the end hanging out and just tucked it under the end of the bed, not a big deal in any way but again just not really on the ball or attention to detail.
The location was very good with a car park under the hotel (£15 per day) - some more detail about the car park location would have been helpful on the site - but it is right in front of the hotel down a ramp; when you go up the stairs from the car park just loop around to the left and then right to walk along the front of the hotel to get to reception - not straight ahead). The bed was a good size, the shower was roomy and a good water flow (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner attached to the wall). There is a pub opposite, and it is only a short walk to the parallel street for good breakfast / coffee shops. Waitrose is next door if you needed anything. The Ivy restaurant is just a short walk away to the parallel road and through Milsom place (or any other route to the 2nd street over). The Bell Inn for live music (not at weekends) is a short walk up Walcot street away from the town centre. Overall very convenient for the centre of Bath. I didn't breakfast in the hotel (£15 or £16 seemed a bit over the top) but people doing breakfast seemed happy with the selection available.

United KingdomVery hot in the room, and air conditioning/lights not easy to operate. Returned to our room at 4.00pm and housekeeping still hadn't been, although lots of trolleys out (no staff). We needed a sleep, so the room wasn't actually cleaned or our supplies renewed. Given the price of the rooms, we would have expected this to have been done much earlier in the day.
Good sized, quiet rooms with large, comfortable bed. Slept well. Very good breakfast buffet with lots of staff to help out.
