Queen Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Too soft for our liking and tarnished our stay a little unfortunately. The furniture in the room was tired and slightly damaged.

Location and city view were excellent for visiting The Glasshouse nearby. Breakfast was very good. Room service was prompt and although a little pricey for what we ordered, the tray charge was reasonable.

We booked through the purpose of enjoy the spa and leisure facilities as we have used them to their full advantage in previous stays. However we were disappointed with the steam room being out of order for the duration of our stay.

Nice location, friendly staff, clean, food is lovely.

Breakfast was cold. No option of fried / poached eggs. We could see the chef prepared freshly some pancakes but we weren't told about any fresh breakfast items that could be prepared, only to help ourselves to the buffet. No museli available and when I asked for some, was only given gluton free museli. I would expect to see museli available. However to be be fair; there was a wide choice of other items with freshly baked bread / pastries, cold meats, cheeses etc Room was large but basic with just a double bed, although I accept that was what we had booked. Due to the size of the room a queen bed would fill the space better.

Location looking over the Tyne is great Beautiful hotel, reception, bar areas Leisure facilities great All the staff were very professional and friendly, a credit to the hotel

Shower / water pressure was not brilliant. But still OK. Buffet breakfast quality was average - no different to other hotel chains that charge a lesser price for same thing.

Alround Service was excellent & faultless from all staff. Hotel was immaculately presented. Car parking on site.

Perhaps some USB plugs in the room. The swimming pool timetable. We would have appreciated an extra hour on the weekend.

The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. The fruit was fresh and nice and the pastries too. The cooked range was delicious too. The staff was very attentive and nice.

I liked everything and the Hilton had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. If I had one minor problem it was that the shower in our room was particularly ‘over vigorous’ I did not mention this as thought it may just be my perception but when my daughter in law used it she said the same. This did not detract from our enjoyment or satisfaction with the hotel.

The location was lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly, anticipated needs, and even took time to chat even when busy. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of choices including freshly cooked options. Very child friendly. And on one occasion I noticed children came to breakfast before their parent and they were chatted to and treated equally as well as the adults. On one occasion whilst being shown to our table, I stopped to say ‘hi’ to our son and grandchildren. We were being seated at the other end of the dining room on a particularly busy day but another member of staff had noticed and asked if we would like to be seated nearby as a table had just become free. I felt that this was particularly observant of her but great customer service. Having a husband with Alzheimer’s some places can be challenging but there were disabled facilities next to the pool which meant I was able to be with him to get changed and meant he could access the pool facilities with the rest of the family.
