Hotel excluding the rooms was lovely but unfortunately the condition of the rooms would stop us from staying again.

Rooms are extremely dated and have a musty smell to them, the first room was that dirty that we had to request to be moved, they moved us with no problems so can’t fault the reception staff, second room wasn’t much better although didn’t smell like the first room, carpets were extremely stained and dirty not what you’d expect from a Hilton hotel felt very uncomfortable in the room.

Hotel was in a fantastic location, outside of the hotel was beautiful with the terrace by the bar overlooking the golf course, sat and had lunch which was lovely. Pool area was nice and quiet, pool and hot tub was a lovely temperature.

You are a captive audience as the hotel is a few miles out of town and £26 for two large g & t’s is a bit over the top. Otherwise we had a brilliant time.

Did not realise that dogs could stay in the hotel. We had one in a room near ours but noisy when the owners left it. It wouldn’t put me off going back but I didn’t see it written any where when I booked about dogs being there.

There was plenty of choice at breakfast, they even cooked all the eggs whilst you waited in the room where breakfast was served. Staff were all polite and helpful. Room was well cleaned .

Room was standard but had all you needed. Staff were helpful, especially the night receptionist when i left early in the morning. Nice to have a decent gym and gold course on site if only i had more time.

Very noisy outside the room during the night, no pancakes in breakfast. It was beautiful weather and it would have been lovely if there were gardens to walk around. Overall quite expensive for 1 night stay...

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, friendly staff. I couldn't find porridge in breakfast, but when asked one of the staff members, they made it for me in the kitchen.

Unfortunately for me, a solo traveller of retirement age, there was a big wedding on which meant when I arrived back at the hotel late, the only place I could park was in the furthest reaches; a walk in the rain in the dark was something I could have done without. Apparently the staff had the same problem but do have the benefit of being younger! This inconvenience filtered over to breakfast the next morning where it was extremely busy and I felt very much the outsider!

Quick book in; good sized room; all very clean; ample car parking when I arrived. What I would expect from a Hilton.

Duvet very thin - I was cold and couldn't find a blanket or extra cover. Some biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities would have been appreciated.

The club booking for the pool was additional and was not based on time, we booked in the evening for a day but couldn't use it next day.

The surrounding was very pretty and the breakfast was elaborate.

Felt it’s a bit far away to get to nearest town. The carpets are old and with stains etc. There should have been some activity esp on weekend nights like a live music or some games etc that would have made it more lively . It felt like so gloomy with people just coming and sitting to eat or in bar. It felt not much for people with young family as no other activities for kids ; it would be lovely if they can have a play area( indoor and outdoor) with some stuff.

Lovely old building with lots of space. There is decent size indoor pool and hot tub, sauna etc but if it summer and busy it would be very cramped up. Kids get a welcome gift and hot chocolate vouchers which is nice gesture .

Additional fees for use of the pool/leisure facilities and £30 additional fee for one short haired dog for one night. Cob webs on the ceiling. Noise of banging and squealing from guests in the room upstairs was so bad I had to speak to the night manager as I was concerned. This went on for a considerable length of time.

Lovely interior. Dinner was lovely but pricey. Spa was well maintained and had a diverse range of facilities. Very relaxing and the kids enjoyed it.
