Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hosts were great, very friendly, talkative and very funny. They greeted us and showed us to the property and answered all our questions. The house is surrounded by their beautiful farmland and their rare breeds that live there. Views were excellent and the location perfect. Very comfortable and had everything you needed - even a tin of biscuits! We would definitely stay there again.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike, it was all perfect!
What a wonderful little hideaway overlooking the Shropshire hills! We were absolutely blown away by Hobley House, and everything about our lovely stay there. Trevor and Gleice were fantastic hosts and were so friendly, and let us pet some lambs on the farm on the morning of our departure! Hobley House is so quirky and unique it really did take our breath away when we were led down the path to it. Overlooking the grazing cows we cooked steaks from the farm on the barbecue, which I have to say were the best steaks I've EVER eaten...be sure to buy some meat from Trevor to take home with you! Every little detail in the house has been thought of to make your stay luxurious but within a rustic setting.....we were warm, comfortable, bathroom facilities were excellent, and the whole feel of the place was so relaxing and wholesome....an experience I will never forget. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay, and a meat box to take home next time. Thank you Trevor and Gleice for a truly outstanding stay!

We loved absolutely everything! Hobley House itself was absolutely gorgeous, as were its surroundings! The bed was SO comfy, the towels were soft and there were plenty of facilities to cook. When we arrived the fire was already lit so it was lovely and homely. We had some steaks from the farm for our dinner which were the BEST steaks we have ever had! Breakfast in the morning was also absolutely delicious and fresh! We couldn’t have asked anymore from this stay and we will definitely be back!

It was a perfect little getaway for a night so easy to find and yet when you got to this little gem it felt like you were a million miles away from the hassles of everyday life. Lovely that the log burner was put on ready for our stay lovely touch.

This is truly a one a kind stay ! We loved it from start to finish , perfect location right in the hills surrounded by nature and tranquility . The lodge its self is so unique hand built and perfect with every little detail put into the lodge ! The host was welcoming and helpful from start to finish and even went the extra mile to decorate the room for valentines day ( and added an iron upon request ) . We came during February and it was still just as beautiful but I can’t imagine how amazing it would be in the summer . The location is only a short drive into Newtown where we found a great Indian restaurant called gulshan where the hosts also couldn’t have been any more accommodating . We ordered a home cooked breakfast for the morning , it’s delivered fresh to your door all home cooked from the organic farm which was also amazing ( the sausages were the best we’ve tried ) thank you for this stay !! 100/10

GreenlandWe occasionally got visits by wasps. Mostly not two much of a problem, but something to look about for when eating outside. Apart from that, which really is just part of being in the countryside, we had no complaints at all.
This is a fantastic little cottage on a farm overlooking the valley and hills and a pasture of cows and sheep. It was lovely and quiet. The cottage itself is small, but perfect for two and adorable. The veranda is quite large and because we had nice weather we could sit outside for meals and just to relax. The surrounding countryside is all farmland and great for walks, but the drive to local towns isn't too far for provisions. Trevor was a wonderful host and took good care of us, but also gave us our peace and quiet even though this is a working farm. It was a brilliant getaway for two looking to just unwind.

United KingdomWe enjoyed everything me and my partner personally aren’t fond of memory foam mattresses but that’s just a personal preference!
The stay and location was absolutely incredible. We even had to leave a tip because of how much effort was put in to making our stay the best. The breakfast was delicious and my partners surprise was incredibly romantic. The hosts Gleice and Trevor were so friendly and accommodating will definitely be back. The effort from them both truly blew us away.

United KingdomThe drive to Hobley House is an adventure in itself, via the meandering single track roads deep into the Shropshire countryside. On arrival, and after checking in at the farmhouse with the lovely Trevor and Gleice, the walk down to the house gives you sweeping views of rolling hills and cattle. As you near the end of the path the house comes into view, and you just can't help immediately falling in love with it a little. The decking area offers perfect views for outside eating and relaxing. Inside is just wonderful. The organic nature of the house wraps you up in a warm hug, and you just know you're going to enjoy your stay. If it's a little chilly there's a log burning stove which really kicks out the heat! I could go on, but suffice to say we absolutely adored staying here. Trevor and Gleice are lovely people, and so welcoming. They couldn't have done more for us. Trevor brought us steaks and a selection of greens from the farm shop for our evening meal, and a cooked breakfast the morning after. All at a very reasonable price.

NetherlandsI honestly can’t think of anything except maybe as a tip you can add a guestbook to the property so people can write their experiences and say thank you!
Trevor was our host and he was incredibly kind, accommodating and helpful. He even helped us arrange a taxi back to Craven Arms train station. The accommodation was very unique, incredibly cosy and decorated adorably with many little touches and details. The views of the farm and the Shropshire countryside were amazing.
