Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomA couple of small issues, but made Staff aware and check out as it didn’t really causes any problems. Unfortunately, the gym is closed for renovation which is a little disappointing.
Overall, it was good. Room decent size. Great for what we needed. A staff were friendly. Would return visit if we are in the area again. Showers were lovely and hot.

United KingdomWhen I first arrived, there was a huge guided tour bus stopped in the entrance, blocking an entire drive way so I pulled forward to ask about the parking situation. The staff signalled me to stop so I did and then he did a very ambiguous hand gesture and I thought he meant they’ve cleared all the bags from the guided tour bus and it’s ok for me to pull forward- but no! He yelled at me and said “do you not understand the word wait?”- also just because I am not british, does not mean I don’t understand English, I just couldnt understand his ambiguous hand gesture. This was the rudest welcome from a hotel that charges over £100 a night. Until the staff realised I’m also a customer, he become nicer. Then when I got my room, the bathroom light was broken and kept flickering so I told reception about it. I left for the night and when I was back late, the light was never fixed so I guess room 601 will forever have a flickering light in the bathroom. The second day I asked for more towels and rubbish bags because the rooms aren’t serviced until you leave (which is disgusting!) and they never arrive! There’s only 1 lift for everyone in the hotel and the hotel has 12 floors and it’s very unfriendly for customers with disability or people who simply wish to use the lift without a 10 minute wait each time. Would never stay here or recommend it to anyone for sure!

United KingdomIt’s tired and in need of some refurbishment. Also, equipping a room with 2x 20cl teeny tiny tubes of shower gel for a two night stay is, well, ambitious. However, the worst part was discovering that someone / something had clearly puked / spilt something very grim on the floor and some kind of creature had torn up the carpet near the window. It almost made me call reception to send up a bible, some holy water and a very experienced Jesuit priest.
It’s turning into a bit of an iconic feature of the midlands. The vista windows are great.

United KingdomWe had a meal when we arrived in sky view restaurant which we had read about in the reviews and was recommended, but this not the case, it served very poor quality food and was expensive for what it was, would definitely not recommend this as a place to eat and have dinner.
Room was okay what we expected, breakfast again was okay with reasonable selection.

United KingdomThe room was a little tired and could do with a little TLC. The sky bar wasn't as nice as I thought it would be and there was a smell of cooking fat which wasn't very pleasant.
The room was spotless and there was a iron and ironing board in your room which saved you from having to ring reception. The hotel was in a good location as it wasn't too far to walk into town plus it was close to the wedding reception we were going too.
