Room size and bathroom could have been better. But that's what most hotels in the UK have. Nothing bad

The hotel met our expectations.

Well priced hotel in central location. Facilities and comfort met expectations for the class of hotel. Staff very friendly and attentive and they happily accommodated our son meeting us for breakfast each morning, (son is studying in Dundee and we were visiting him from Ireland on his birthday).

The room was ok but could have done with a bit of a spruce up. The carpet had marks on it. It was clean but felt tired. The tea and coffee in the room was very small amounts (2 teabags) and although you could get extra from reception I didn't notice that until our second day and it would be a pain going to get it once you settled in. We like a cup of tea before bed and first thing before going for breakfast.

The staff were lovely and it's an excellent location. There are plenty of choices at breakfast and the food was fresh.

Coffee is miserable, always stay Holiday Inn hotels and some have amazing expresso, others is literally instant coffee inside an expresso machine. Didn't really fancy the location and the parking is only free till 08am (only 2£ till 09am tho).

Offered a gluten free breakfast including a sealed packet of gluten free cornflakes. All the staff were so friendly from the check in desk to the housekeepers tidying the rooms. Thanks to Sarah and Olga for a lovely stay.

No clear signposting from multi-story car park to hotel. The breakfast area, plates/cutlery were very dirty.

The staff were brilliant. Let us book in early so we could shower and change before going to a family funeral. We'd traveled overnight by coach. We were also able to purchase breakfast

The mattress in my room 223 was too soft and woke up with a sore back, and the room was too hot. I didn't notice I could have opened the window but would visit again

Dusty heater and curtains, we had to keep the window open, even though it was very cold, because we could not stand the dust. In the breakfast area, the plates and the cutlery were not very clean.

Excellent location, near the railway station, buses, restaurants and shopping centre. Practical bathroom, door closes in 2 ways, so 2 people can use it at the same time, option of blue night light, always hot water. Comfortable beds, clean linen and towels. Good breakfast. Wonderful sea view. Staff very professional, competent and attentive.

A selection of Scottish breakfast items or menu choices would have been good (e.g. lorne sausage and haggis) it was a Scottish location after all. A quicker reaction to the 2 very small and quick solution niggles raised.

I booked because ‘parking’ was shown as one of their facilities on the landing page. If you need parking be aware they do not in fact have any parking of their own. The hotel is connected to a public paying car park via a link bridge.

Good buffet breakfast, although the has browns were a bit hard.
