How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was quite a good selection for breakfast. Our room wasn't the largest, but was clean and comfortable. It was possible to walk from the hotel and pick up a local bus into the city, which saved the aggro of finding a parking space.

Can't seem too understand why do I need to pay for the parking as a hotel guest! Also the room service food was really horrible, it is worse than a ready meal from supermarket! OVERPRICE TOO
Very comfortable beds and looks like the room just renovated. Pool looks amazing too!

The swimming pool hours were limited at the weekend - so hard to combine with holiday exploring. In the week the pool/gym hours were good though.
Comfortable room, with proper child's bed (actually comfortable!). Good breakfast and lovely chef, although more plastic-free food options would have been great. Fab swimming pool that was certainly worth it in the week. Friendly, helpful staff. Fairly short walk to a bus, and walkable to the city centre in nice weather.

Pool could have been bigger.
Great breakfast with gluten free options! Pool and spa were lovely. But could be bigger for the amount of rooms! Bed comfy. Could tether Netflix to the huge TV!

Room was clean and bed comfy. Room was quite a large size too. Staff were super friendly and it was close enough to the event we were staying in Gloucester for too. Our room was on the ground floor and was very quiet. Lovely stay.

A little signage on the turnoff to the road - we don’t see one and weren’t sure we were on the right track, maybe one is needed?

Rooms were advertised on booking.com as having air conditioning which was not turned on as its winter, instead staff offered a fan. But staff were quick to offer discount so that was a good gesture. No swim wear dryer in ladies changing room, due to arrive a few days after. One in mens working. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, as someone who has back problem proved to be absolutely detrimental. Woke up with a very bad back and still suffering. Staff were kind enough to put extra duvets on the bed which helped for a better 2nd night. Had to keep putting ice to help. Spa- the jacuzzi turns off and you have to wait about 10 mins for it to come back, no manual button, on so not ideal. The jets aimed at back were not very powerful as they others. Breakfast- pastries were not replaced as quickly so unless you go early you may lose out
Booked to have a relaxing weekend to getaway. Good location with easy access by car to many things. Good size room. Quite good spa. All staff very helpful with good customer service. Good that you can stream from phone to watch films. Proper hairdryer and iron and ironing board which was good. Quick response to anything that was needed. Room was on the ground floor so easy access to spa and didn't have to climb any stairs. Nice sauna and steam room. Pretty good breakfast.

The breakfast was depleted by the time we got down but for the price I can't complain as you wouldn't ordinarily expect breakfast and everything was lovely.
Good parking and dog friendly at a great pride!

Paying £5 to park. This should be complementary for guests.
Great convenient location. The hotel is immaculate with all the facilities you could need. A great bar and restaurant with outdoor seating for summer months. The leisure facilities are also a fantastic addition.

Price of drinks were expensive,my son who was nearly 17 not allowed in the gym or pool on his own ,had to be 18 years old.

Nothing. We noticed that the room smelt a little damp first of all but that was probably due to the wet weather. After putting on the heating the smell disappeared.
