How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I found the relatively (and odd) big step up to the "walk-in" shower challenging and slippery getting out with no handhold, but it would be okay for most people. So not a complaint, just an observation. My deep dislike did not relate to the hotel but to the third-party Hoppa bus to get there, which is truly awful. It has space for luggage and reasonable seating and runs on time. One passenger grumbled to me about the complicated online payment, but paying with a credit card on the bus is easy. However, the service is only hourly, and there is nowhere warm to wait or any seating, which does not sound like a big deal unless you've just missed a bus, the temperature is freezing, and the wind is whipping around the bus station. On the return to the airport, I had to hang on for dear life as the driver threw it around curves (and I was sitting, not standing). Unfortunately, it would make me think twice about this hotel (or any other outside of the airport), despite the hotel meeting all my needs. Taxis are more expensive, but perhaps worth the cost of staying at this hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable and met all my needs for an overnight stay before my flight to Australia. The bed was very comfortable, with great pillows. I had an evening meal (sea bass) in the restaurant, which was simply fabulous. Jamie Oliver could not have done better. The hot breakfast was hot (often not at other hotels) - a nice touch being the warmed plates. I liked the real bread, too, rather than the packaged sliced stuff. I loved the beautifully themed central atrium where the restaurant and bar are located. Staff are friendly throughout the hotel and customer-oriented (another feature often not so uniformly present).

The location was quite close to the airport which was the main factor for choosing this hotel. The room was good and 4 persons(family) could sleep there without any problems. The breakfast was great and included in the price. Was a perfect choice to get to the airport in the morning

Car parking available, but at £16 per night when already paying for a room, took what appeared to be the last space, with other guests still searching for a space. Car park also has car rental facilities, making vehicle movements extremely frequent and faster than is safe.
Busy, as expected with folk coming and going for flights etc, but check in & out fast with staff coping well. Room good, breakfast better. Good facilities. Location good for Heathrow

Everything was fine, but when I arrived there was a man walking up the corridor trying every door with a key. I felt this was something the reception needed to know so I ring down to tell them. They were very dismissive and didn’t seem to think it important, and made me feel like I was making a fuss for nothing. It put me off a bit

That we couldn’t stay longer
Efficient staff made check in and out seamlessly smooth. They allowed us to store our luggage for the day. Rooms were spacious, tasteful with fresh decor.

We were a family of 3 and the sofa bed wasn’t set up- we had to ask for linen and bedding which arrived promptly.
The location was fantastic and the all you can eat breakfast was definitely value for money.

The restaurant at the hotel is terrible, I almost ate a piece of moldy bread. And the food is below average.
