We were in a room facing the marquee and there was a wedding going on which is fine but it would have made more sense to us to have a room that wouldn’t have been so close especially as lots of the wedding guests were staying in rooms furthest away from the marquee. We were woken by very noisy guests and door slamming at 1am, which I appreciate the hotel can’t help but being kept awake by the disco and then woken up again by returning guests was a bit annoying. I appreciate they probably wouldn’t know if we were attending the wedding or not but I’m sure they would have known that the big party staying there would have been. I would stay again but would ask to be on a back room if there was a wedding taking place.

Lot of plain wall space, and only quite small area for hanging space in 'family room' - room would benefit from having line/board of simple but strong coat-hooks on the empty walls to give more places to put coats/jackets/towels/shirts/sweaters/trousers etc rather than have to put them on bed or one floor. People can be bothered faffing about with putting things on proper coat-hangers in wardrobes - this always a problem when 3 in a room. 2 banks of 6 coat hooks in room No28 would have been great.

Just a couple of tiny things. Maybe it was us, but we didn't find the bed that comfortable. We would have liked two chairs in the room for watching TV.

A small gripe is that we stayed in late Autumn and parked in the overspill hotel car park. We parked up and it was pitch black. Some lighting is required to guide you to and down the steps to the hotel reception.

The dinner in the restaurant was pretty cold wheh it arrived. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was. It was a little noisy in the corridor outside my room. The sound insulation isn't great.

The breakfast was outstanding with good vegetarian options. The room was spotless and modern and comfortable

Unable to connect to the internet. I tried to log on but had a message that my password was not strong enough. I clicked on update my password and received a response that instructions had been sent to my email. Unfortunately as I could not access my email, no internet link, so I was without access until I got home.

The first morning I ordered the “Full English”. It was well presented with thick slice of toast sitting on the top. When I picked up the wrapped butter to spread on my toast it had actually turned to oil and ran out over my hands. This really spoilt my breakfast as this oil had then run down off my hands to gather as a yucky mess in the middle of my toast. I could not eat this toast and ended up leaving it together with other things on the plate. I reported this to the waiter who apologised. On the second morning I did not go for breakfast even though I had paid for it in advance.

Just the steep steps down from the car park to the hotel.

Rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable. Staff were kind and very helpful. Nothing was too much bother . My grandson was sick all over the duvet in the bed and the staff member on the night shift bought us a complete new duvet complete with wrapper still on Enjoyed the food at the restaurant on site too. Staff were friendly.

Great location, just next door to our business appointment. Comftable room. Lovely breakfast, apart from first serving me a full English instead of the veggie options. Quickly remedy. Very friendly, helpful staff.
