The attentiveness of the waiting staff at breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was no salt & pepper on the table, but the waitress wasn't around to ask. She did eventually come back, but I had already started my breakfast at this point. I also asked for some glasses for the juices on offer, as they had ran out. The waitress easily took 10 minutes before returning with any, but it wasn't clear where she had gone. It was confusing as there was only me and one other table in the dining area at that point. I also had Avocado & Poached eggs on Sourdough for breakfast. I had an image of the avocado being either smashed under the eggs, but it came cubed. Even if it was sliced, that would have been preferable.

The room, and decor was great. Well put together. The friendliness of the manager on check-in was very welcoming. It was also great to have a food-serving pub under the rooms, that was easily accessible from the bedrooms. I also liked the fact that there were Oat Milk sachets for tea & coffee in the room. As an Oat Milk drinker, this was a very welcome sight, and I think other hotels should take this lead.

    Nothing

We booked last minute as we were attending an event in Bristol. The venue was really helpful about check in times. The room was really lovely, very large, comfy bed and roomy bathroom. We didn't have breakfast, but we did have a drink in the bar in the evening which was great. We have a disabled badge and there was a space just up the road, and 3 more around the corner so that was easy. Very well situated to explore on foot (which I did on an early morning walk as my husband can't). We would definitely book again.

    Parking.

I would come again but next time wouldn’t drive as the parking around the area is quite expensive. Breakfast was splendid, the location is also near a number of shops, amenities and other restaurants

That we could't stay longer! IF I I had to give any kind of constructive feedback it would be that the room we were in (3) needs a lamp in the far corner as when the main light is off, its very dark by the wardrobe and the rest of the ambient light was too lovely to spoil putting the main light on :)

I can't recommend this place highly enough! The room we had was beautifully styled, a lovely size, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were lovely touches in the room like some welcome Bristol Sherry, chocolate truffles, and fresh milk in the fridge to use with the super tea and coffee facilities. The hotel is above a pub restaurant, which itself is beautiful and has lovely food, we didn't experience any noise from the pub (not a rowdy place at all). The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Marion on front of house was particularly helpful. Its a great location for the waterfront and being near the center of town, St Nicholas' Market and lots of bars and restaurants. It was very secure, you could only gain entry from the street or pub with your access card. We will definitely be staying again.

The bar and restaurant were a bit too lively on Friday evening for us, but then it was the start of the Christmas weekend and people were partying and enjoying the hospitality offered.

Beautifully refurbished, decorated comfortable bedrooms with good quality toiletries, teas, coffee maker and fresh milk from the well stocked mini-bar. The front of house and bar staff were welcoming and helpful and we very much appreciate Youngs’ aim to provide excellent hospitality that supports local food producers and services and that is sustainable.

Friendly reception when we arrived, we had a massive room (we'd upgraded to the superior room), loved the decor / styling, very comfy bed, no outside noise, 100% happy! Also a great location in the centre of town and easy to get to everything. Breakfast also great. Would definitely recommend.

We didn’t prebook breakfast, but decided to have it at the hotel on the first morning. It took a long time to arrive and was good but a bit parsimonious. The issue was the price, which was over £40. This included £6.50 for a single croissant, which was the last straw for us. This experience was the only poor thing in an otherwise lovely weekend. What a shame.

The room was immaculate and quite luxurious, with a large and comfortable bed. Nice extras provided, such as fresh milk in the fridge. The hotel was centrally located in the historic part of the city and close to the St Nicholas Market. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
