How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and entertainment were fabulous. It had a very calm relaxing feel to it. Very chilled and relaxing

When we asked about takeaway breakfast , we ordered a vegetarian and normal breakfast, unfortunately we were given two ham and cheese sandwiches, when asked ,we just got a shrug, as if they didn’t understand. The stairs near our room (90) were not cleaned for two days , still had the same footprint s .

Everything was great
Great location in St Helier only 10 minutes from the main centre, hotel is spotlessly clean with a superb ambience, very polite front desk staff, coupled with spacious rooms and very comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious with a fabulous choice of food and drink.

Swimming pool not heated only seasonal. Toilet seat was scratched so think a new one would have looked nicer

Could do better on breakfast selection. Tinned fruit was served rather than fresh and limited hams and cheeses.
Nice toiletries in the room, nice big comfy bed. Close to centre and amenities.

I would prefer a breakfast served rather than a buffet but that’s just a personal choice. Staff seemed to struggle to top up the food, so a lot of waiting about for eggs etc

We were disappointed with our evening meal in the restaurant my steak was not good quality and my husbands neither.
Breakfast was good as I am coeliac I was given gf food, disappointed sauces were only available one day of my trip

more variety at breakfast would have been good & some items not cooked very well (porridge, hash browns). Our room was never vacuumed during the 5 day stay & the bed linen was not changed as promised after 3 nights

We arranged to have a pre-paid 'tab' for our bar and restaurant bill, to be finalised when we checked out. Unfortunately the amount agreed was taken from my account twice, so had to raise a dispute through our bank when we got home. This hopefully will be resolved amicably in the next few weeks.
Lovely hotel, very comfortable room. Good location, with a 15 minute walk into town. Bar and restaurant were very reasonably priced, and the food very good. Nice breakfast too.

The service in the restaurant especially at breakfast time is not very good, a lot of running around but nothing actually getting done. Food kept running out at breakfast and wasn’t being topped up. We were sat down at a table and then forgotten about, had to go looking for someone before finally getting a drink.
Very clean hotel and a really comfortable bed. The staff are extremely helpful and very pleasant.
