The different ambiance of the room. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Between 9 pm and 01 am milk and cookie service to the room. Free Prosecco Breakfast service to the room within the picnic box was a different experience. The decor of the room Netflix

The one things I did not really appreciate was that the hotel was very dark. My room was very dark and I could not find a way to turn up the lights when I needed to. I realize the the lighting was to set the mood but it was probably a bit too dark for me. Otherwise, I loved the place.

One of the funnest hotels to stay in. The rooms were comfortable and just very interesting in terms of how they were decorated. also, the location was great as it was a short walk to the the Royal Mile. Breakfast in my room was fantastic and the bar in the lobby served pretty good drinks. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely book again.

Rooms slightly on the smaller side and we had a few suitcases so if there was some sort of extra sturdy elevated baggage storage that didn’t take up floor space, that would have been great!

Location was great 10 min walk to lots of sites. Very unique concept.. Quiet rooms. Cabin room was small ok for 2 average size adults. Breakfast basket was fun and romantic

Everything is draped in velvet including the walls. There was very musty dusty air quality, that made both of us get congested. Additionally there are perfume diffusers everywhere, it’s STRONG, one of us is allergic to perfumes so this didn’t help that congested feeling. The room was very small, and you couldn’t get into or out of the bed very easily on one side. There’s no elevator, and the halls are also draped with dusty velvet so all in all it’s not a great place to breathe.

At check in we were greeted with a welcome cocktail. At night we had a cookies and milk button we could activate, which we loved. Everything is beautiful inside the property. The staff was lovely and attentive.

Very dark space. I ran into the door twice because I just couldn't see. A little more lighting in the lobby and halls would be nice.

Such a cool place, the rooms are small but brilliantly organized for a small space. It really is like staying in a lux sleeping car on the Orient Express. :)

Although the emergency exits were clearly marked, the hallways could be confusing, with several turns to get to and from the room and to the exits.

Location, close to attractions and nightlife. Unique decor. Ease of check-in and check-out. Coffee basket in the morning. Bed was comfortable. Pleasant staff. Cool bar area.

The room was very small and had no window as such. There was a glass bricked type space in the wall which presumably looked onto a street because we knew when it got light. A minor issue though.

Breakfast was brought to your room (ordered via WhatsApp) in a hamper at your specified time. Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch.

The cabin room was small which we expected but sadly no fridge in the room so anything from the mini bar was warm so we didn't use it...& loved the low lighting in the room but the corridor was worse & it was actually too dark & we both walked into some of the glass doors on our stay.

Amazing room & very central, great shower & loved the milk & cookies delivered at bedtime.

If I said lighting, but obviously that is something the hotel has set its mood around, but that would be my only thought.

Certainly a different experience from your usual hotel stay, but not in a bad way just very quirky ( but dark!) So if you have vision issues to start with in dim lighting its probably not the best option. The hotel has definitely set its standards high regarding the decor, ambience and level of service. I really enjoyed my stay. Great location not far from the Grassmarket and plenty of restaurants and bars near by.

It’s quirky and fun for a night or two but the small rooms, dark corridors and rooms would wear thin after a day or two.

some of the features didn’t run smoothly, the bell to call for drinks didn’t seem to work and there was a mix up with breakfast, our bagel order wasn’t registered so after checking on it, it was 50mins late.

Great location, cool concept and vibe. Good staff and delicious cocktail!
