Bathroom window would have given more privacy if frosted glass or transfer on lower aspect. The light through the window is great but worried a passing neighbour might see inside the bathroom area.

Room 9 Laurel had an open plan bedroom and toilet/bathing area. Too impersonal even for couples. The toilet at least should have been enclosed for privacy and hygiene purposes.

In all honesty not much but maybe if I had to say anything maybe quicker service of food but it wasn't a problem.

Attended my sons wedding amazing rooms friendly helpful staff and enjoyed food. Rooms are beautifully decorated, service really good.

we booked the night away to celebrate our wedding anniversary after having a meal we were told they were closing the bar and restaurant at 8.30 which was disappointing

Everything!!! Stunning place, room was amazing, staff were all so genuinely friendly which we loved, the guy who checked us in was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff brought our meal up to the room in the rain and dark which we really appreciated. The best venue we have ever stayed. Definitely be back!!!

Inside doormat required, we were wiping our feet on wet outdoor mat trailing in dirt and leaves. Shower door didn't shut resulting in us having to mop up water, sink in kitchen dripping all night, disturbed sleep.

Location beautiful, breakfast good but still over priced for overall experience. Balcony littered with leaves, debris including cigarette butt's.

Had such a fabulous experience at the Black Horse Beamish from making the reservation to departure, nothing seems to much trouble for the team This was my first stay and I will definitely be back. It was their attention to detail that made my experience exceptional. Reception letting me into the room an hour earlier meant I could change for the wedding as a guest upon arrival. The Holly Room was immaculate, During the evening reception I asked for weak black coffee and that’s exactly what the bar staff provided at a reasonable charge. Breakfast was hot and delicious. and the winter views are just beautiful. To the team at the Black Horse Beamish thank you so much for making my stay memorable

The bed side lights were both on the same switch, so when my wife woke and wanted to read, my light came on as well and woke me. There was very good shower but it had been plumbed in incorrectly, as you could have a hot or very hot shower, but you couldn't add cold water to make it more comfortable. The safety light outside the door wasn't working nor was the one at the neighbouring property so coming back after dark was difficult for two reasons, firstly the number of steps leading to the rooms and secondly by the lack of light. The outside door to the reception was approached via steps and was very heavy and awkward to open when loaded down with luggage. This would have been less of a problem if it had been dry, but as it was raining we didn't want to make more trips to the car than necessary.

The room we booked was very good. there was lots of room and storage facilities. There were tea and coffee facilities, but the biscuits were not replaced on the second day. There was also a fridge and we could get fresh milk from the bar.

We could not understand why when so much thought had obviously been put into the comfort of the room the designer had thought it appropriate to have an open plan toilet! ....An open plan bathroom yes but toilet NO!! When we saw the pictures of the room online we thought that they had left the bathroom doors open to showcase the lovely copper bath....so just be advised that the bathroom is totally open and if you are ok with that you will really enjoy your stay.

The location was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also very good, we ate there 3 nights and each meal was very good. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, we particularly liked the fridge in the room. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Great shower too. Everything in the room was finished to a very high standard.

There was no wall or door separating the room from the en suite. The who room was open plan. You will have to use the toilet in front of whoever you are staying with.

The staff were incredible. Very at tentative and knowledgeable about the area. We at dinner in the restaurant on 2-4-£10 cocktail night which was a real treat. The room was very clean and comfortable.
