A tad cold at times. A small hob in the kitchenette would've been lovely

My dorm was spotless, bed very comfy (so was the pillow). Curtains and bedside table were particularly appreciated. Excellent WiFi coverage. Price on a Saturday night was very fair. The owner is a nice funny chap, willing to help you with a lot of useful advice. I think he's travelled a lot; backpackers will surely have interesting conversations with him. I have given Trinity an extra point since in these days and times independent hostels seem to be struggling more than others (COVID, big chains and Airbnb being the culprit, possibly); the staff are doing a marvellous job and wish them all the best.

Maybe their pricing should have been a bit more affordable

I like the friendliness of the staff. They go out of their way to provide support and assistance. In my case, I checked in quite late but they held on to receive me. I left a property there and they kept it in good condition for me to retrieve it afterwards.

I bumped my head on the bunker bed ladder a couple of times in the night…it’s a double bed with a single bunk on top. My husband was highly amused. 😆

Excellent, friendly staff…having experienced a number of hostels, this was definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in. Car park is across the road…limited on street parking. Tesco Express over the road and use of a shared kitchen. Didn’t see the shared bathrooms as we were in a family room with en-suite. Decor was lovely, rooms clean…would recommend and stay again if in the area.

Absolutely not the fault of the hostel and whilst generally quiet, being located right next to the Minster the bells chimed every quarter of an hour through the saturday night/sunday morning. Just sonething to bear in mind if this is the kind of thing which would bother you! Also ear plugs are available if required :)

Brilliant location, excellent value for money. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. We stayed in an en suite double room which had everything we needed for a short stay.

Not just this place, but since COVID, access to your room has got later and later. In this case 17.00 (then out by 10.00am) is totally unacceptable. Most of the day has gone. Hotels use COVID as a reason, which is now ridiculous.

Poor ventilation in room (unnecessarily restricted opening of small window, and extractor fan not working). All showers had no temperature control (and were push button operated). Never seen that in accommodation before, only changing rooms.

The shower curtains did smell like they had been left damp for too long. I think to change the shower curtains with a solid, transparent shower door would be a good investment.

The location of Hull Trinity Backpackers is amazing for the price paid, right in the heart of the Old City of Kingston-upon-Hull. From the upstairs kitchenette window is a great view of the tower of Hull Minster. Every morning your greeted with the lovely chimes from the Minster Clock, and on Sunday mornings you hear the bells rung to signal for the start of services.

Location within easy walking distance of the main city centre. Tesco supermarket is directedly opposite the hostel. Super clean throughout. I stayed in a four bed dorm which had a homely atmosphere. There is a small self catering kitchen area that consists of kettle microwave and toaster there is also a sink for wash up and seating. A good stay.

Everything I needed, located right where I needed to be. All clean and tidy. Other guests were respectfully quiet and either kept to themselves or smiled as they passed by. I vacated the room before 10am, but staff more than happy for me to sit in the lobby for a few hours to get some work done on the laptop. Nice chilled vibe. I would stay again.
