The bed was way too soft. I actually requested a duvet and pillows & I slept on the floor. It would be nice to have some cushions / extra blanket, the room is a bit sparse!

Love the gardens, really good. The restaurant was good and could cater to us as we are both coeliacs / gluten free which we appreciated. The bus outside to the city was good. My partner had a conference nearby hence we stayed here as she needed to drive

Paying £15 for 24 hours parking and early check out of 11am.

A cool vibrant hotel situated in a new secure family friendly complex. The location of the hotel is excellent, not too far from the main city centre and only good 15 minutes drive away from the hotel. The bus stop is on the hotels door step with buses coming frequently and the hotel staff kindly gave us complimentary bus tickets which is available to use for 24 hours. Sainsbury’s and a coffee shop few metres away and hotel parking underneath the hotel. We arrived early before check in time and our room was already available which we were really pleased about and grateful for! Our king size room was fantastic, it was a spacious and cosy room with the necessary amenities and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful!

Some breakfast items were a bit stale and the service was quite slow, perhaps because of understaffed service? Nevertheless the selection was great!

Lovely decoration and very comfortable room and general area. Friendly and helpful staff.

Slight mirror position flaw. If you were sitting back on the bed, against the headboard and someone is in the bathroom, you can see them reflected in the long mirror on the opposite wall as the bathroom door is a a ribbed transparent glass. Fine for a couple but if family pop in your room for a drink and then use the loo, you can see them, unless they turn the lights off! That is my only very picky thought.

Perfect location for the Storey's Field Centre, across the road. We went to a concert there that night. Hotel is lovely, tasteful decor. Check in lady very polite and helpful. We booked a parking space in advance and that made life easy. Our room was upgraded, was very clean, comfy bed and lovely pillows. Water in the fridge plus sachets of milk, tea and coffee fine. We looked out onto the garden which was beautiful. Security was good, the lifts need room card authorisation to go up. Car park secure. We had an early dinner in the Astronomer Restaurant, within the hotel, which was excellent. A good choice for 4 vegetarians. The Astronomer's salad with halloumi cheese was exceptional! Lovely restaurant staff, think our hostess was Emma who was very helpful. The quality and presentation of food and the ambiance made for a very lovely meal, the price was fine. On departure, again check in chap very polite. We did not have breakfast, but the menu looked very good, think it was £20 a head. The hotel is about 15 minutes in the car from the Centre of Cambridge. There is a park and ride very close to hotel so you can get into the centre that way. Also a Sainsburys about two minutes walk. The whole area of Eddington looks new, well planned out, lots of samplings planted, looks fresh, clean and inviting. Would like to go back to the Hyatt Centric again.

Difficult to find by bus - driver has no clue and you cannot see it is the Hyatt, or even a hotel, until you stand right in front of the main entrance, assuming you can find that and have not missed the 'Sainsburys' bus stop which is before you pass the hotel... Suggest you get it renamed. Hotel info not in room - found it eventually in the LIFT! All the breakfast options and times should be displayed in the room. Coffee at the coffee bar was far too bitter - maybe that is why they offered a filter alternative. Service very slow there. Breakfast in main restaurant did not offer a small continental-type option - twenty quid to get just cereal and toast was a bit much (not available at the coffee bar). Cooked breakfast adequate but uninteresting - the sausages were particularly dire and largely devoid of meat - should be better at this price. Only one chair in room for two people. Walls a bit thin and transmit any sudden sounds, seemingly via the building structure. TV sound rather poor but no adjustment possible to raise the treble for my ears, so had to perch on end of bed to watch. Difficult to manage the a/c/heating. Room door did not shut properly unless you leaned on it. Wet paint on walls of corridor. Painting of some ugly concrete walls in vestibules not done. Ugly piping and wiring above ground floor spaces - you need a ceiling for a more cosy experience. Only one bus service and very slow - difficult to get East of the centre (it does not live up to its title of 'Universal'). Main door keeps opening to let in wind every time you pass it. Reception did not know where Cambridge Register Office was, and so could not tell taxi where we wanted to go, because it was an online-only service and he could not check whether the taxi already knew where it was (they did, of course). Surroundings quite bleak but I suppose it will be better when the trees have grown.

The scrambled egg creation at the small bar was fantastic! Room quite comfortable - good sleep Easy to get to from station by comfortable electric bus. Lunch/dinner restaurant has plenty of options. Staff all brilliant and eager to please, even the one who has to manage reception without the luxury of a chair - sat on a piece of walling with one foot in a cabinet drawer. Room quite good. Plenty of coat hangers. Good lighting options. Handy for the event centre opposite.
