Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Everything from the warm and friendly welcome when we arrived to the lovely breakfast served by efficient and friendly staff. The rooms were so cosy and clean. The bed was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here and next me and my family are in Nottingham we will stay here again

Fifth time I have stayed at Hylands hotel sine 2016. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of draws for my clothes. Plenty of space in the wardrobe

I was only able to have breakfast on one of the three days as it is served later at the weekend, to late for me as I needed to be away to work. The room was clean but is in need of some decorating and the the shower replacing with a more modern one.

United KingdomThe fire safety and layout were a little lacking with it being an old property. Security was just an old-fashioned key, which works but is just something to be wary of. The room was noisy as it faced the main road.
I was impressed with the service and the breakfast for the price. The room was bigger than expected and I had a double bed which I hadn't selected when I paid for the room. Overall really good value for money!

Room was very comfortable and spacious. The only thing that took us by surprise was that the handbasin was not in the ensuite with the shower and toilet but we soon got used to it. Good breakfast and friendly staff. We also appreciated the lovely breakfast room with all the indoor plants and also the beautiful gardens that surround the property.
