The car park is a bit narrow to negotiate.

We really enjoyed the English breakfast served. The room is quite large with comfy beds and pretty clean.

The bathroom was very tight, difficult to manage if you are tall.

Staff at the Hylands were very accommodating, giving us a lot of helpful advice on what to do and what not to do. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious.

Everything from the warm and friendly welcome when we arrived to the lovely breakfast served by efficient and friendly staff. The rooms were so cosy and clean. The bed was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here and next me and my family are in Nottingham we will stay here again

Light in the corner on the dressing table didn't work. Wallpaper starting to peel away near the ceiling. Skirting boards looked discoloured

Fifth time I have stayed at Hylands hotel sine 2016. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of draws for my clothes. Plenty of space in the wardrobe

The room looked a little 'tired' - the shower doors were difficult to close.

The staff at this hotel are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and served very promptly with a friendly smile. The property is well located and has a nice garden!

The very old shower and the condition of the toilet basin

I was only able to have breakfast on one of the three days as it is served later at the weekend, to late for me as I needed to be away to work. The room was clean but is in need of some decorating and the the shower replacing with a more modern one.

Over all it was good.. breakfast was great

We stayed in room 51.. it had enough space for the two of us.. had an old world charm .. shower head needs to cleaned/ replaced?.. very slow flow

Decor needs upgraded but you wouldnt want to loose the character of the property - WiFi was intermittent but satisfied my needs

Vegetarian breakfast rather basic - would have preferred poached egg, fresh tomatoes and mushrooms to tinned tomatoes and baked beans and fried egg.

The fire safety and layout were a little lacking with it being an old property. Security was just an old-fashioned key, which works but is just something to be wary of. The room was noisy as it faced the main road.

I was impressed with the service and the breakfast for the price. The room was bigger than expected and I had a double bed which I hadn't selected when I paid for the room. Overall really good value for money!

A comfortable, spacious and quiet room overlooking the garden. The TV had a Bluetooth connection so I could stream from my phone and laptop. The WiFi was stable and handled this well. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were cheerful and attentive.

No mixer taps for sink or shower lacked convenience but worked perfectly well once use to it.

The breakfast experience was one of friendly and attentive staff, good choice of food cooked well and nice environment. Bed very comfortable. Parking was very good. Local restaurant recomendatins helpful.

Great staff, most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever. The service was excellent, especially the breakfast with lovely and kind ladies working together as a family. I was pleased with my stay and I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Room was very comfortable and spacious. The only thing that took us by surprise was that the handbasin was not in the ensuite with the shower and toilet but we soon got used to it. Good breakfast and friendly staff. We also appreciated the lovely breakfast room with all the indoor plants and also the beautiful gardens that surround the property.
