Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWe paid extra to take our 2 dogs £40 for 2 nights. As we paid I feel that our room was shoddy. Plug hanging off the wall and only 1 bin and a stained carpet. I think we should have had a better room. If we had not paid extra for the dogs I would have accepted more easily.

United KingdomThe hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate with seemingly little to nothing around, but it is ideal for business trips.
The Ibis Lincoln is a perfectly fine two-star budget hotel. It is as good as just about any airport hotel for comparison. The rooms are basic, but clean and large. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. We had one unexpected power outage in the middle of one night and the staff were right on it, immediately providing an alternative fresh room. We are attending a course laid on at this hotel and will definitely be returning. The food is very nice and the facilities are suitably adequate.

United KingdomBedroom furniture looking very tired and in desperate need of changing. Bed was really noisy, think the wooden slats were damaged so it creaked all night. Room was dusty Breakfast was minimal, but they possibly just cater for the amount of guests booked in. Overall it did the job of providing a bed and breakfast, but it just needs a bit of tlc.

It's an Ibis so expectations were not high. Friendly check-in, clean comfortable room with good shower. Reasonably spacious, but I was on my own. Well situated on the Lincoln ring road so okay for a night.
