Parking is not easy. The hotel car park is like tetris, busy and extremely tight to manoeuvre into spaces. The entirety of breakfast is served to you at your table which means service is slow and laborious. If drinks and cereals were on a buffet, it would be much quicker. It's an old building so it's cramped and tight to get around and the layout is a little confusing. Weddings feature heavily at the hotel and can either attract or detract from your evening/experience dependent on the party (one wedding ended very abruptly on one evening we were there). The only place that can take card payments is the front reception so not ideal for bar service.

Superbly located on the front and opposite the start for parkrun (if you're a parkrun tourist you'll know). You can eat breakfast on a beautiful veranda overlooking the beach.

Buffet breakfast would have been preferred as breakfast took a while to come out

Bed could have been a little softer and was a little lumpy as we both had slight back ache in the mornings. Old style lift was ok as long as other guests shut both doors properly, a new style lift may be an advantage. Parking could be improved by a ticket on the windscreen with registration number on it to show you are a guest as it seems there is no restriction to parking for non residents who could park there if they are not using the hotel.

Breakfast & Dinner were superb, room was a good size, in a good location on the 3rd floor with sea view also very clean with daily maid service, bathroom facilities were also excellent will definitely stay there again.

Found the prices in the bar a bit expensive.

Staff very friendly and helpful even providing me with painkillers when I had a bad headache. Very pleased with the room.

cold egg Benedict Thurs 17th aug wasn't to keen on the smoked salmon prefer mine cooked more. wed 16th aug got to hot on breakfast balcony area felt price was to expensive

The room was rather near the staircase and we feared it would be noisy. However on that night we slept well enough.

Although we had a start before the breakfast time began we were able to have a continental breakfast served by the night staff in good time.

The location is great. Calm and relaxing feel. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff excellent and made you feel welcomed. And the dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The slightly musty smell as you entered at the bottom if the steps. They need one of those log fire smellies! Or baking cake smelled!

The location was excellent just Nth of Britannia Pier. Food was excellent. Terrace was a lovely place to dine and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Room 346 , we had a view over the recreation ground and a side window with sea view. The lift to the 3rd floor is useful for taking the luggage up and down. Good selection on the breakfast menu. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent location had stopped here before. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked to order which is good for a hotel of that size. Staff friendly.
