Excellent location everything was within a 10 min walk. The car park is in close situation. The hotel was very clean and the staff where very helpful.

The hotel was clean and beautifully furnished (and smelt nice). The staff were lovely and friendly and genuinely wanted to help. The extra touches in the room were nice too. Breakfast was amazing! The location was fab being only a few mins walk to York City centre and on a road with fab eateries.

Accessible twin rooms were small so hard to navigate in a big electric wheelchair, also while the beds were really really comfortable, they were so high they were extremely difficult to get into.

The wheelchair accessible bathroom was really good and the breakfasts were the best I've ever had anywhere, also the beds were very comfortable. The location was good and if you are a blue badge holder you can park for free for unlimited time on any of the nearby streets within residents parking areas. Lobby smelt glorious, wish the rooms smelt the same!

The staff we met were pleasant enough but, we felt, not outwardly welcoming. We felt awkward sitting in the restaurant on our first night and no staff said hello or came to take our order. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time.in fact we felt so awkward we left after fifteen minutes and ate elsewhere . I hope this was just an unfortunate moment for us all , as the staff at breakfast next day were really nice and friendly.

We really liked the city location, we were able to find all the places we wanted to visit easily from the hotel. Our room was lovely . Everywhere was clean and fresh and the bed very comfortable

Everything! Super clean and comfortable. We wanted for nothing even down to the bath robes and slippers and lovely toiletries. Staff were extremely efficient and polite. Couldn’t fault anything. We stayed at the indigo in Liverpool a few years ago and it was just as good.

Lack of parking and charge of £15 a day to park away from the hotel. But it is a city based hotel and it isn’t a huge walk.

Very central and quiet location. Staff was very well trained, professional and friendly. Room and bathroom were modern and clean, had all the amenities and small touches, very nice York-themed decor. Really enjoyed the York chocolate bar. Breakfast buffet was also good, with the option to order coffee and hot food from the menu. From the price we got, one of the best hotels I've stayed in, really good value. Would come back again.

The sign went up in reception "car park now full" a couple of times and when I returned from a trip out, maybe 5 O'clock, I sqeezed in to one last space, that maybe wasn't even a legitimate space. My dislike is that after paying in advance I would have expected a guaranteed parking spot. It suggested to me that the hotel over sells spaces, there are only 30-31 spots.

The Breakfast selection was very good and as I always have the full breakfast I can confirm that I was very happy with the "Full Yorkshire" black pudding and gorgeous sausages especially. The room was a great, the bed very comfy and the cherry on the top, was a beautiful shower, always expected but so welcome when the hotel delivers. EXCELLANT location, the street the hotel is in leads straight in to the main centre, the first junction after a 5 minute walk is the Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate sign post and Shambles. But even on this short walk, there are so many great places to eat and such a selection.

The property was in a great location to walk into the town. We paid to car our car in the hotel car park which was a 5 minute walk. It was good that we were able to unload our cases outside the hotel while checking in.
