It was all lovely more tea and coffee in the room would have been good . Only 2 tea bags . However another member of staff Natalie went out of her way to provide more quite late at night .

Warm cosy and excellent food . A little chilly in the bar area a fire would have been nice in there .

Fire alarm. Kids went in to panic mode. We endeavour to visit again to give it second chance.

Good parking and central location. Our accommodation was very comfy and warm. We had a table booked for dinner, the whole of the village lost its electric so no meal. The staff were very thoughtful and made sure we had snacks.

There was only one thing which could have been improved upon and that was the quality of the pillows in the bedroom.

Lovely pub/restaurant/hotel. Friendly staff, lovely large bedroom with good clean bathroom. Food in the evening and at breakfast was very good.

Beautiful location, rooms lovely and warm just a little dust on the back of the bathroom door and a cobweb in the corner of the room but overall very clean. Food excellent and breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend this property.

Lack of shower screen seal! Had to mop the floor with the bath mat!

Dinner was good but we were 3 couples and apparently it was impossible to charge each couple for their meal despite taking the orders separately?? Took some sorting between us all, would have been so much easier to work out for ourselves!

Beds weren't the comfiest and although bathtub was a great size, could do with updating due to many sharp scratches on bottom of tub.

The rooms were great value for money, modern and great location for hiking. Breakfast was great too.

Being disabled I struggled with the corner bath a little, but at least there was a tiled part to sit on. Could have done with grab rails, and soap dispenser on other side though. Wasn't keen having plug connections at side of me on the bedhead. Was restless in the night, but was to be expected! Flippin' ghost! LOL!

Lovely old place we visited on Halloween, and were not disappointed! I had several spooky experiences with banging in our room, and a feeling of pressure around my neck. Turned out guy who haunts it was hung!!! Staff were wonderful and dinner & breakfast were first class, with plenty of choices! Room was spacious, and bed was comfy.

The standard double we had was small along with the bathroom but the room was done to a great standard. Abit dusty in the corners of the room and some cobwebs but I can understand these things are easily missed when they are so busy. Only a small car park, difficult to find a space

Lovely place, great location and the staff was so lovely and helpful! Breakfasts are great, wouldn't pay for breakfast through booking.com, just pay at the Inn because they have a full menu with a price list so its cheaper that way. They offer all sorts, from pancakes to full English, eggs benidict and advocardo on toast. The food in the pub is also lovely, great roast, the staff go above and beyond to make sure guests can be fitted in for food even when busy. The pub has a lovely atmosphere with it being in the centre of castleton, one of the best pubs in the town. Beds are extremely comfortable and considering the room was on the ground floor facing the main road it was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again!

We were woken up at about 9am to church bells, but it wasn’t for the time, as they went off every 17 minutes or so with a strange chime that seemed to stay on for 5 minutes at a time. Very odd and not the best thing to wake up to, but definitely didn’t take away from our brilliant stay

Lovely stay in haunted room 4. We even managed to contact Rose! (The ghost of a jolted bride in that room). Spacious and clean and a very lovely environment with great staff. Peveril Tearooms and Ye Olde Nag’s Head had some great food as well, would recommend.
