The room, breakfast, dinner and the bar- all were superb in every regard. Excellent friendly and engaging staff. The quality of breakfast and dinner was equally impressive.

Could hear the music from the bar from our room, but it wasn't really an issue as we stayed up late till they closed.

Nicely presented room, great dinner, lovely setting! And nice to have such a late breakfast option (not finishing at 9:30am like some hotels!)

Bed was a bit uncomfortable particularly the pillows. Room was too warm particularly at night. Floor was quite creaky.

Top quality food including breakfast. Great location and picturesque building and cozy bar. Friendly staff. Modern bathroom and good water pressure.

The property Well decorated. Property situated in lovely gardens. Room was very comfortable. Also you could leave and return through a private exit

Slightly over priced for facilities. A little grubby in communal areas, some tired paintwork. Slightly surly young waitresses serving evening meal. Asked for mayonnaise - they never fetched it. Some mould around shower. Cheap toilet seat in our bathroom.

Large room. Good parking. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice linen. Good bathroom. Lovely heavy black out curtains. Excellent, hot, fresh cooked breakfast.

The Anex rooms are nice great location, a taxis ride cost me 13 pounds into Chester so not bad and I had a great evening in chester then 13 pounds for return journey it allowed me to have a few pints , would I stay here again, yes I would lovely location and the bars nice

Walls needed a little paint but didn’t take away from the loveliness of the room!

Rooms could do with a lick of paint and tidy up, but won't complain as the price xAnd location were excellent. Only real complaint was when booking in and paying I told them I need a receipt and was told I had to ask in the morning. When I asked in the morning the young girl couldn't do it, phoned the chap from the night before (Julian i think) who told her to get my email address and he would do it. I'm still waiting!!!

Problems getting coonected to Wifi. If you need Wifi to get emails, how do you respond to an email before you are connected? (You had to confirm your email before you got onto the Wifi!)

The front door creaks a lot.

Excellent spacious room (room 14 with a separate entrance), large shower room, clean towels, comfortable bed. There is a small sofa, a table, and a set for tea and coffee.

Service was a bit slow at times but not terrible. Room in need of sprucing up, painting etc Food usually excellent but today roast potatoes were shocking

The breakfast choice, food and presentation was excellent. The evening meal was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Location great for a walk into Chester along the canal or catching a bus.
