The room had an unpleasant smell which was coming from the bathroom. At times it was quite strong - maybe the drains?The bathroom door was rotting at the bottom presumably from a bathroom flood? That's why we downgraded on ‘comfort’ although a large room it had one small window with frosted glass so very dark

They appeared to be short staffed during our stay, and we had long wait times for checking in and out. Meal service, however, was efficient.

I only wish they had a lift since we had a lot of luggage, but most places around also seem to not have one.

Overall the stay was absolutely awesome. The lady at the reception was sweet and let us put our bags in early. The breakfast was tasty as well. All in all, really nice place.

WiFi ! Only day passes - continually having to log on . My friend from Canada had to have assistance from staff many times . How ordering breakfast was confusing the way it is written .

Quite tired in places. Room and bathroom needed painted and wardrobe door had a handle missing but it was a good sized room with lots of space.

This place was so welcoming and cosy. Situated over the bar/restaurant it was ideal for us as we had our baby girl with us. This ment we just came downstairs for food and a drink before going back to settle her. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating with the little one giving her colours and paper. The property is right on the water looking directly out onto the boat trips. Love this

Rooms are a bit tired and beds not the most comfortable. Twin beds rather than a sofa bed would make more sense. Sound through the door was loud early morning.

The location and size of the room were really good. Free parking was good too

The carpets had seen better days with some stains, and neither the bed nor the sofa bed were particularly comfortable. We attended the pub below for breakfast, which was convenient although the meal took quite some time.

The Balloch House has a great location, in terms of being right on the river that feeds into the Loch. It was a lovely walk along the river, and this was a highlight for us. The bathroom appeared to be clean and new, and the shower had good pressure.

Door fob was a little temperamental, had to ask staff to help us on several occasions as we couldn’t get through the door at top of stairs. Tv in room had no sound on certain channels, not a problem for us but may be for some.

The sofa bed in family room was very uncomfortable, even for 2 young children. Some areas are in need of decorating/ fixing in the rooms. Check-in desk was in the bar area, and not obvious. We didn't know where to go until a member of the public told us in the pub. Food was nice just a little over priced for what was available.

The area around the hotel was beautiful. Nice hotel. Food was nice. Free car parking outside hotel. Staff were friendly.

My son and I wanted to hit the road early to make a noon ferry so we ordered breakfast at the earliest time, 8am. It arrived 10-15 minutes late due to staff being held up by a traffic accident. Breakfast was delicious and we were informed there would be no charge. Top marks.

It was very wet after heavy showers and there was a huge puddle to negotiate to get to Reception.

The staircase was a bit tricky with two heavy bags and key fob entry doors to gain access to the next hallway and more steps to yet another where the room was I did think the price was a little high for the room and the breakfast choices were exactly the same cost as those on menu if we had chosen to go down during service and not added on at time we prebooked

The room was clean and spacious enough to move around the tv was large and bathroom was modern as was the decor of room On entering though the room was cold but after couple hours was cosy reception delivered an iron on request within minutes and were very welcoming and friendly The breakfast was delicious but had more than one item I would have liked to include as a choice available though by separate purchase the location and parking was great

Wifi connection was a little intermittent. Not an issue for us during this visit but would be beneficial for breakfast to be available slightly earlier to ensure we can get something to eat and attend work meetings on time.

Food was of a vey good quality. Rooms were kept warm and comfortable.
