I have seen cleaner rooms and it was slightly outdated. Further more was the service not what I would expect if its not busy. Order you drinks at the bar, collect them there also and the servant standing still (I would have offered after me ordering it to bring it to my table). Its not the service itself that bothered me but the attitude. Breakfast starts at 8 which was not helpful since our boat left at 10. No option to get breakfast earlier although it was included. The price now without breakfast was too high. The manager was helpful with a breakfast pack (Orange juice, banana's and yoghurt (that was the idea) but the yoghurt turned out to be Oat prep that needed hot watter (I dont have this in my car). So all in all not the best experience.

Location to get from the Cotswolds to Dover was perfect after a day in London. The room was big and perfect set for a family for 1 night.

Too hot - heating was on - fan in room not adequate - need better fans for the summer months - it is an historic building so great character.Once radiator turned off and window opened room cooled down- noisy road nearby but didn’t bother us too much.

Easy location with parking and large comfortable rooms. Very comfortable beds and great that check out is at 12 made for a relaxing morning. Breakfast was fantastic and good value. Staff throughout the stay were excellent x

Noise from the bar, although I understand this happens and it didn’t go on too late. Also the restaurant was great but my breakfast wasn’t great but was ok. I had the veggie option and spinach was just thrown on the plate and unseasoned and the poached eggs were also overcooked.

Our room was right next to a fire exit so we were woken up at 6:50am by a man banging on our window to let him in as he'd slept in his car after an argument with his girlfriend, was very rude and clearly still drunk

Room 12 facing the beer garden at the front, so don't expect quiet until after 11. Bar Lounge and bedrooms well decorated, but the carpet on the stairs and landing needs replacing. Signage pointing the way to the bar and exit is none existent.

Nice room, well decorated and decent bed. Had dinner in the Lounge, was as expected - excellent.

Due to the hotels proximity to the round about, road noise is always a bit of a problem, but not enough to spoil your stay. On 2 occasions I have previously stayed in room 11, which I think is on the top floor. I recently stayed in room 4, which is on the first floor and because the building is old, the floor boards of the room above did creak rather a lot, but I guess this is to be expected. I'll specifically ask for a room on the top floor next time.

We only had one night and didnt see anything that could be improved, apart from the lighting as the room was quite dark.

Room was clean and spacious. The shower was a good size and toiletries provided.

Our room wasn't the best with an outlook over the yard. There was space for a table, desk or chairs but nowhere to sit apart from the bed. The price for the light breakfast was ridiculous - worked out at >£10 for toast & coffee.

The hotel position is great, the room was well laid out, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Having a M&C down stairs is very handy. Nice that you can open a window, air conditioning when it's too hot.

Expectations were higher. Noise through the night due to tarpaulin sheet cover temporary roof at back of kitchen moving about in the wind. Plus kitchen extraction system starting up at 6:30 which was very noisy.

Only one thing. We were in room 3, around midnight, there was an almighty noise coming from below. Kitchen? Dishwasher? Stopped after about an hour.
