The location is good in terms of accessibility but being just off the ring road was very noisy even at 5:30am. Can’t have it all ways and the property itself was fantastic.

Beautiful room and very clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast options although I didn’t eat here as I was going to a work breakfast meeting. Staff member that checked me in was so polite, friendly and helpful.

Arrived in poor weather and found the car-part to be dimly lit.

My room exceeded my expectations and the dinner & breakfast met my hopes for a Miller & Carter.

didn't eat there so can't comment on the breakfast the door was tricky to get into facilities were minimal Staff weren't always there as these are rooms above a restaurant traffic around the hotel is very slow so it's best not to drive problems with payment at checkin

the only sell was the proximity to the town which is withing walking distance which meant it was easy to get to and explore Maidstone. I would use again for this reason alone if travelling alone. Noise was minimal especially for rooms above a restaurant. Fine if your windows are closed Cleaning staff helpful and did get us requests for herbal tea free parking

The carpet should have been vacuumed prior to allowing check-in. Bring earplugs for sleeping - bedroom window is single glazed (historical building may not allow alteration) and near to busy roads.

Lovely large rooms with excellent shower and television. Liked the mini toiletries provided - very handy. Perfect location to town centre and transport links. I dined twice at downstairs restaurant - food was very delicious and great staff!

no other problems other than the water in the sink didn’t go down straight away- we had to wait half an hour for the water to go down after filling it up to have a quick wash but wasn’t a major problem!

The room has poor lighting particularly none over the desk or the full length mirror but pleanty of power sockets so bring additional lighting if possible. The shower room has a double shower but no door so some care is needed not to flood the floor and on this trip the basin waste was slow causing some care to be needed also the aircon was noisy for a while after it was turned off keeping you from sleep whist it was sorting itself out The lack of a comfortable chair separate to the desk was also missed but did not spoil the etay.

Clean, large and comfortable room with a superb restaurant and helpful staff. A simple but freshly cooked breakfast. A very convenient location with a good car park. If you need a base in the area and enjoy eating in the hotel you are staying this is an excellent choice.

Good for the channel crossing. Very good value. Staff were absolutely charming, both at reception and in the restaurant. Couldn’t fault it.

The floor of the bathroom was not that clean. When I showered the fixed glass wall didn't prevent the water getting out which completely covered the floor so I had to mop this up with a towel.

The room was a good temperature, well ventilated, comfortable and clean. All facilities worked properly. Staff friendly and quick on check in.

Shower screen needs to be longer to prevent copious amounts of water on the bathroom floor. Traffic noise from the nearby roundabout from about 5am until well after midnight.

Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast choice and quality were excellent. Plenty of parking space.

Window stuck open on arrival so room cold and had to change room. A very small point but lack of coasters under glasses meant drips on clothes!

Check-out was disappointing, I needed a vat receipt and was told to provide company details at check-out but there was nobody, really nobody, available when I left. So had to take the time to request the invoice by email later. TV remote didn't work and couldn't find anyone to ask for new batteries.

Room was spacious and clean. Decent shower. Breakfast is very good.

Huge hole on the driveway in which had damaged another guests tyre, nowhere to hang about in the restaurant as a hotel guest would in a normal hotel bar, no bottled water in the room bearing in mind there is no air con either, no room service type menu for cheaper smaller eats you can have in your room

We booked a room a couple of weeks before my sister and were given an end of corridor small room with a small bed. My sister's room was so much bigger with a very large bed. She kindly offered to swop with us which was very nice of her. We would have been annoyed if we had been stuck with the small room for the duration of our visit. Allocation of rooms when booking, seems to be a bit of a lottery!

We liked the restaurant and the excellent waitresses who contributed to our enjoyment of the evening meal.

Old building but well maintained! Very spacious room. Very warm day & night. No zircon but fans in the room made it comfortable! We were able to eat outside something you can’t do very often in the uk. The food was excellent and good value. Very pleasant attentive staff making the stay a very enjoyable one.

Wasn’t necessarily a dislike but it was unusually warm/hot at both the restaurant and the hotel room, would have been great if there was aircon, more so in the restaurant or had the option to dine outside where it was much cooler.

That you could stay at the same venue as the restaurant & that check out was at 12.
