Lots of steps in and around the property which may cause a problem for those with mobility issues. This was the only drawback for us, otherwise brilliant stay.

Brilliant team of friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, made us feel very welcome. The food is excellent and good value for money. Rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The beautiful view across the river from the back of the hotel is a lovely place to sit and eat and drink on the terrace. Would recommend for a lovely stay.

Didn’t have much gluten free produce for breakfast , ended up with fried egg and bacon and was asked to pay extra for mushrooms!! Did get given some by waitress after I complained

Very limited healthy options for breakfast. Also very poor customer service. On my first night the TV in the room was not working. I reported it first thing in the morning and was assured it would be sorted whilst I was out for the day. However when I returned to the room that night it had not been sorted and there was no staff to discuss it with. Not even a note or anything to explain. Somebody had attempted to fix it. I didn’t consider that an emergency so did not ring the out of hours number. It is however poor communication and poor customer service, which is a shame because otherwise everything was fine.

Poor room ventilation because old sash windows do not open at top part. Made room very warm and stuffy. Shower fluctuated dangerously between v.hot and cold No cereals offered for breakfast.. Evening meal - starter course arrived with main course, which defeated the object! Entire venue (rooms and restaurant) feels in need of a refurbishment.

Found it a little awkward there was no reception desk, you check in at the bar. There was no phone in the room so if you need to contact a member of staff in an emergency it wasn’t possible unless you went all the way back to the bar, which was the furthest point from our room. Description of available facilities in the room when booking said there were ironing facilities, but there was nothing, and no info in the booklet in the room, and again no way of calling down to ask unless you went back to the bar.

Clean, comfortable and easy to get to. Had parking available. Food was good quality especially the breakfast included in the price. Room was spacious and some amazing views over the river.

Service in the restaurant was a little slow, particularly at breakfast time. We were a little unsure what to do once we ordered as no one came to advise us.

Our room was really amazing with all the little touches like good size coffee mugs and plenty of tea and coffee. It was extremely clean - compliments to the hospitality staff. The wifi signal was really strong as well which does not always happen in a public facility.

Unfortunately there was scaffolding up which spoiled our lovely view of the river There was a brown line round thr toilet bowl at water level The shower had a slight leak from the shower head Saturday evening we dined in again but there was limited choice due to staff shortages The staff that were on duty were rather miserable and slow I chose the bottomless ice cream and was very disappointed with it .. the ice cream was yellow and had no taste (after having the chocolate brownie the previous evening I had excepted creamier white ice cream) and the choice of toppings very limited Sunday morning we were a bit later down for breakfast as we did not have to leave quite so soon Breakfast was extremely disappointing that day … no eggs for a while, my husbands black pudding was dried up and hard to cut, I asked for vegetarian sausages which I was told to get the rest of my food and then had To start eating and got them 5 mins later and they were inedible as they had been over cooked unlike the morning before We left under a cloud as Friday night and Saturday morning had been great but Saturday evening and Sunday morning were awful in our opinion one way or another Also Saturday we ordered the raspberry wu wu two for £10 and it tasted nothing like a wu Wu again very disappointing

The room was nice and clean in the main We were greeted and looked after very well Dinner on the first evening was lovely and the staff friendly and accommodating Breakfast on the first morning was good despite a break down in communication about the weekend timings x the chef pulled an amazing breakfast out the hat as we had to leave before the normal service was due to start
