Very good room, furnished to a high standard, nice location, plenty of parking. Would definitely stay there again.

It was ideally situated for what we wanted. The room was large and a comfy bed. Although the rooms were above the bar/restaurant, we never heard any noise apart from the passing traffic but it wasn’t loud. Dinner was very tasty and good value and the breakfast in the morning was superb and lots of it too, which set us up for the day. The staff (Chardonnay and Bruno) were very friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. We would certainly stay there again.

Some very overpriced wines on the wine list (not all) and poor selection of real ales. Pillows were very uncomfortable - a shame, as mattress was good. Bedroom was very small, although well equipped. Lighting in the bedroom was a choice between searchlight level glare or tomb like gloom. Really loud extractor fan in the bathroom and the smallest hand basin I think I’ve ever seen!

Nice staff, very good food, good choice of wine by the glass. Loved the outdoor terrace in the sunshine. Comfortable mattress, reasonable hospitality tray in bedroom, hairdryer, enough hangers, and the - hard to find - welcome combination of light, mirror and socket for drying hair, putting on make up etc. Looked like a good shower although we didn’t use it on this occasion; good sized shower cubicle. Room and bathroom very clean. Good amount of parking.

See earlier comments regarding 'quiet' room. Pillows also not very comfortable.

Had a little trouble parking at first, until someone else left. We had asked for a quiet room, but allocated a room near quite busy main road, and could not get access to open window in order to close, as secondary glazing would not move. No tissues in room and water only lukewarm. Restaurant was quiet good.

Breakfast less good. The portions small for the cost - eg tiny amounts of avocado on one medium sized piece of toast… and kids were very disappointed not to have a cereal option mentioned in the room. Also, I received too many emails and texts reminding me about the booking and check in. A couple of reminders is good. 9 emails and at least 5 texts felt a little much.

Room was clean. Staff were great. Great location. Dinner was good (some mixed dishes like salad didn’t have all ingredients) but overall good.

Wifi is dreadful: It drops all the time, and to reconnect you have to visit a specific web page - which itself is intermittent. Basically, on the 2nd morning I ended up hooking up to the internet via my phone !

Noisy location on busy street. With windows open could hear cars n trucks. Shutting windows helped but the no air flow.

Pub downstairs made dining easy and food was very good.

Liked everything about the property however somewhere close by was playing Bass music till just before midnight, but you can’t blame the hotel on that

There were no complementary bottles of water in the room. I asked at the bar and was charged over £9 for water !!! Had to keep the shower running for a good length of time before it heated up ! There's a water conservation card in the bathroom about towel washing etc... didn't seem like much conservation when you have to let water run for at least 10 mins before it heats up . I had 2 lukewarm showers!

The accommodation was good value and carparking was easy. Lovely beer garden and the food was good. Its a dog friendly bar.

dissapointed with breakfast, I thought there was going to be a selection of cereals and pastries but you could also order off the menu aswell, more of am all you can eat style.
