Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe biggest issue was with shared toilet and shower. I need to admit it was clean and for one day it wasn't huge issue Also lack of a sink to wash hands after a long journey. needed to use shower to wash hands.
Excellent location, a few minutes walk to station and underground. Not a long walk to tourist attractions. Room may look a bit small but for a short stay does that really matter? Bed was very comfortable.

GermanyI didn't expect too much, and there's a surprising number of hotels in London throughout all price categories that have shared bathrooms. Still, I would've wished for more sinks. What use is a toilet if you have to go to the other one to wash your hands…
A conveniently located small hotel (right near Victoria Station), just right to hunker down after arriving in London, especially if you're just staying one night anyway and don't have a need for anything special. My room was tiny (about 4' x 7'), but the bed was warm and comfy enough.

CanadaThe room was noisy because of the trains, which sounded as if they were running in the hall! The window was not tight and the bathroom fan vents to the outside. I'm sure it would have been better if that was fixed. The trains do stop from midnight to 5 a.m so I was able to sleep then. I stayed at this hotel earlier in the week, in a different room, #9. The tea things were on a shelf on the wall, which I bumped into in the night and got a nasty bruise. Although the room was small, about what I expected for a single, there was room to add a table and chair and a reading lamp, which would have improved things greatly. I found the price for a Sunday night was more expensive, 50 pounds more than for my Friday night stay which surprised me. And there was no one at the desk when I arrived at 7:30; if it hadn't been for other guests coming in at the same time, I would have been locked out!
Location, close to Victoria Coach Station was excellent.

United KingdomThe ensuite bathroom was tiny, we didn't use the shower as it was so small. There was a lot of noise from the train lines and the station (we were at the back of the building). The room also got very warm, there was a fan but it was squeaky. Staff weren't there when we arrived to check in and we had to wait outside for a while until they arrived. We also ran out of loo paper and there was nobody around to ask for more - staff were not there much at all. No TV in room. Not many sockets. Would also be better if there was a lamp rather than just the big light. Described as a deluxe room but pretty basic.
Travelled with my daughter for theatre visits. Hotel was in great location. We weren't in the room much as we were out all the time. The room was clean and comfortable. Newly decorated.

United KingdomOne of the main reasons I booked this property was because of a bag drop facility. Some comments mentioned this was not available so specifically asked before booking and was told this was possible. When I arrived early there was no staff at the hotel and when I finally got hold of one of the cleaners I was told there was no bag drop. Eventually I was allowed to leave it unsecured in front of reception, not ideal! I would not have booked this room if I knew there was no backdrop.
Location was convenient and room surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the train station. The room was small but that was expected and fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep which was exactly what I needed.

BrazilThey canceled my first reservation at midnight the same day I was supposed to arrive. It was very stressful to have to find a good room for the same day!! For my second reservation 3 days later ( and a different kind of room) I wasn’t sure the history wouldn’t repeat itself. Another problem as big as the first one, there was no sink. There was no sink in my room, no sink in the toilets down the corridor. The only sink to be found was going down a flight of steps, crossing reception and down another flight of steps.
Good bed, friendly staff and very clean.

United KingdomThe bathroom is VERY small. A grown man would not fit on the toilet but there is a shared toilet on the other floor. Also, the plug for the kettle doesn't reach the socket. The shelf it's on needs lowering considerably.
Very easy check-in and fit the purpose for what we needed. An easy overnight stay for a concert. Bed was night and comfy and the location was perfect being right next to Victoria Coach Station.

United KingdomIt was incredibly small. There was hardly any room between the bed and shower/ toilet. There were 2 steep flights of stairs to the room. I have some mobility issues and wouldn't have booked it had I known. It would be terribly difficult to climb them with a suitcase. It was quite warm in London for September. The room was like an oven, even with the window wide open. We left after one night because the heat was unbearable- I accept this was not the owner's fault.
The room and bedding were spotless. The shower was lovely- powerful and hot although small. The manager was very polite. It wasn't overly expensive either. There was a nice pub at the end of the road. Victoria Station was a ten minute walk.

GermanyI can only advise everyone to book this hotel. In my opinion, even the term pension is not suitable for this, let alone hotel. Based on the pictures you can see which rooms are offered here. After we wanted to complain about the booked single room (we also booked a double room in addition) in the basement, the staff hid from us in the basement again, so as not to have to answer questions. The new room, which was then ordered (after we had searched and found the staff in the basement), did not correspond to the booking in the sense of an associated private bathroom. The extra bathrooms on the corridor were smeared with dark dirt on the tiles in the upper area…
