We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely book it again. We were there for the rugby in Cardiff (around 30 minute drive away) but it was the perfect base to explore the Brecon Beacons and whiskey distillery etc and the house was lovely for a group of friends. Super clean and everything perfect (although we found the electric shower problematic but this wouldn’t stop us from staying again). 10/10 😊😊

Great place to stay for our family . Our teenage kids loved the dart board ,pool table and large TV and plenty of room for us to all be together in the living room in the evenings. Warm , cosy and clean house with great decor and lovely to come back to after a day out walking . Owners very prompt to respond with any queries. Unfortunately too wet for us to enjoy the lovely outside area with all of the pretty lighting .

Beautifully decorated. Full of character. Very comfortable! We slept so well! We were hardly ever on our phone because of the amazing game room there! My grown up adult children really loved it! James and Angela were easy to communicate with and welcoming! They welcomed us with a bottle of Prosecco and amazing honey from their backyard!

Nothing to dislike with the property if this is the location you want.

A lovely touch from the hosts to find Prosecco, Welsh cakes and home produced honey on arrival! Very quirky decor, very warm, clean, comfortable and spacious. Loved it!

This is a fantastic property to stay in. We loved the quirkiness, the games room was fantastic, the outdoor area was lovely, the beds were super comfy and the quality of the linen and towels equal to a hotel stay, plus dogs are welcome. Finally the home grown honey from the owners bees was a beautiful touch. We will definitely return.

That we only had 4 nights - it was all over far too quickly!

Everything! Beautiful quirky house in great location with garden & park so close for the dogs. Great sized rooms, comfy sofas, soft towels & lovely bedding. Excellent games room & we all enjoyed the pool, darts & toasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Welcome package a lovely touch & the homemade honey is delicious 😋. Lots of great walks nearby to choose from & tesco close by for provisions. Wished we had more than 4 nights & would definitely all like to stay again in the future. Thank you Angela & James.

The level of comfort at the stay was exceptional. The beds were incredibly cozy. The attention to detail in the decor was outstanding. The entire space was tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I felt like I was staying in a stylish and elegant home away from home. It truly added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. I can't praise the comfort and beauty of the house enough! The hosts were incredibly friendly and understanding. I couldn't have asked for better hosts or a more pleasant stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

We had a lovely stay in this great, very quirky, stylish house. Lots of lovely touches - homemade Welshcakes and honey, a chilled bottle of prosecco and marshmallows ready for roasting over the fire pit. The kids loved the pool table, darts board and giant teddy bear. Fantastic set of recommendations for walks, activities, restaurants and takeaways nearby. Will definitely recommend.

Overall, we loved the place. However, there are few things that we didn't like, for example, the place wasn't very clean, unfortunately. There was a lot of dog hair all over the house, which the kids were getting covered in, including us. We did sweep daily. The floorboards were sticky, and we didn't pack our slippers, so our feet/ socks were getting dirty. Some floor boards felt like they were loose upstais in the hallway and bedrooms. It was a shame we couldn't access the garden area through the kitchen as there was no door handle on the kitchen door. Some home improvements must have been taking place as screws and nails have been left.

The staff were kind and friendly. There were lovely welcoming and informative notes on the boards as well as a jar of delicious honey 🍯 left for us from their 🐝 beehive. We inquired about buying more jars of honey and were left two jars outside while we were out. Then, a staff member came round with a further two jars of honey. This shows how kind, friendly and generous the staff are 🥰. We liked the card left for us as well as the informative email about the attractions and places to visit nearby. There was also a bottle of an alcoholic beverage, some marshmallows left for us to toast in the fire pit and some biscuits. We appreciated the welcoming sentiment. We liked the games room with the pool table, fussball table, darts board, and the life-size bear which we took selfies with. The decorations in the lounge were quirky 🤪 as well as around the home. There were lots of plants 🪴 I hope they're still alive. The unique walls representing the 🐝 beehive were interesting. We loved the little garden space even though we didn't get to make much use of it due to the weather. We loved the location of the place as it was near local amenities. It was easy to get to travel to attractions, and mostly because it was lower down on the slope of the hill, which made it easier to walk up and downhill with our children 😬. We loved the view from the landing/hallway upstairs, as you could see hills ⛰️ .
