It would’ve been helpful to have a few basic pantry items, salt & pepper etc.

We loved the log burner and the local pub The Crown is excellent. The location is perfect as it’s easy to get anywhere in a short time.

Japonica cottage was really cute, cosy and warm. Lovely bedrooms, living and kitchen space and an all important enclosed garden for the dogs. Good location to explore north Norfolk.

It was all good. There is no local shop,so come prepared but the pub breakfast ,evening meal and hospitality was incredible.

Lovely authentic cottage. Very clean and well equipped kitchen with lovely garden. The stairs are not suitable for small children or children or people with mobility issues but this was made clear in the description. We had a great stay in a good location for different trips across Norfolk. Great communication by owner. Highly recommend.

The only toilet was down some very steep stairs. Difficult for our friend due to bad back. However, this did not detract from a fantastic stay.

What a lovely little cottage. We have stayed in plenty of dog friendly accommodation but as dog owners, accommodation always seems to be inferior. This cottage wasn't at all. It was superior! Loved the log burner, extremely well equipped and very clean.

Stairs challenging, the site does warn about them however. Rear bedroom Coombed ceiling very low. Bathroom had severe dampness & mould on the outer wall. A problem with older properties I suppose where damp proof courses have been breached over time

Lovely cottage, ideally located for all the North Norfolk beaches, villages and attractions. Plus an excellent pub, the Crown Inn, is 2/3 mins walk away.

Slightly awkward that the bathroom is off the kitchen, but fine with family.

Needs more dessert spoons as only two for a family of 5, Maybe a cloth or sponge for washing up as nothing when we stayed but everything else was spot on and these are only very minor points. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage in a great location with everything you need for a weekend away including a great local pub! Cottage was clean and tidy and more spacious than I thought it would be. Tall people beware of the low doors ways & steep stairs.

This is not a 'didn't like' but if you stay here you must understand this is a lovely old cottage and the stairs are steep! My teenagers thought they were great fun but if you have limited mobility or maybe toddlers then they could be a challenge. Didn't cause us any problems though!

Very comfortable cottage, excellent location for exploring area. Communication excellent with owner and the lemon cake and milk in the fridge waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch. Both front and back garden secure for our dogs. We had an excellent meal at The Crown which is 5 minute walk away .

We stayed after our wedding and were hoping for a little something to welcome us, as stated in our conversation. It was put before, but stairs were incredibly steep as we're the steps between living room to kitchen but to be expected.

Location was great, just what we wanted. Great and cosy. Wish we had more time to use the fire.

Disappointed that two weeks before Christmas the cottage hadn't been trimmed up. It didn't spoil our stay but would of added extra cosiness to a lovely cottage. We were very much into the Christmas festivities as we visited Thursford Christmas spectacular during our stay at Japonica Cottage.

Traditional well kept comfortable cottage. Close to most places you would want to visit in North Norfolk. Parking outside the door quite village location.
