How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room was small and very basic. Tea coffee milk not replenished. Shower was leaking and overall frayed around the edges.
Location was perfect and staff friendly. Beautiful restaurant and bar area although quiet.

Very loud corridors. Anti allergen bedding supplied as requested but only X1 very flat pillow supplied per person which was disappointing limiting the amount of sleep we could get. It was not comfy at all unfortunately and considering sleep is the main priority, it fell way short here. Stopped in many MCR hotels with anti allergen bedding and had much much better.
Location is good. Staff very welcoming at reception.

In our room 907, the toilet seat was very loose that it came off completely, not impressed as I'm currently 4 months pregnant with my 2nd and would not be great if somethings accidentally happened to me In the booking, it didn't said it came with sofa beds. Nice imput but would of been nice to give us the options to choose to have it or not. My boy only sleeps in travel cot so maybe should get charged same as room for 2 adult person

There was a water leak in my bathroom which appeared to have been there quite some time, as the floor behind the door was raised. I mentioned this reception upon checking out.
I liked the location. Restaurant was clean, food was nice and staff are excellent.

The room was too warm and the shower leaked. Received email from Booking.com stating that in check in we’d receive a 50% off drinks and food at check in. Had to go back to get this only to be told that all you get is a complimentary drink but they would give us a voucher for 1 drink each. Once at the bar and after ordering drinks was told that it was only valid on pump drinks or house wine. Was very disappointed. There was also no late bar opening for residents

Odd that there are no bedside tables or plug sockets near the bed. We had messaged for an early check in but not received a reply and the team were unable to accommodate when we arrived in the morning. We came back about 30mins before check in and were still unable to get in any earlier. Just made it a little tight for planned activities, and the website does read that early checkins can be accommodated at a price. One lift was out of order on check out day resulting in waiting 15mins for lift with space and in the end took the stairs.
Privilege double was really spacious and clean, location was central. Useful that luggage could be stored before check in.

I am happy with our visit, will stay here on our next visit and would recommend to friends. Maybe some extra tea & coffee provisions in the room. Possibly some drinking glasses within the room and access to an Ice maker on the higher floors.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the location is very central and close to Piccadilly station with a direct line to Manchester airport.

No friendly welcome at check in room door was difficult to open and close bathroom wasn't clean and needs a face lift. Tea and coffee facility in room was poor only enough for one drink.
