Great location, close to train station, and close to the centre via the York museum garden that is opposite the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, well stocked mini bar and good range of quality toiletries in the bathroom

Addition of some curtains in the bedroom would have helped. As lovely as it to have a lot of light come through the window in the morning, it did wake us up very early.

Location was very good and the street was very quiet for how central it was. Decor was very pleasant.

The rooms are fresh and have a lovely Scandinavian design. The location is superb, we were able to walk to attractions and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!

Only slight negative I have was that the room tended to get very warm. It was fine when the weather was dry as we could open the sky light and bathroom window, but when it was raining the temperature in the room did creep up. Only a very small criticism though and overall didn't bother us.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, room was very well stocked, very clean and spacious. Great location as well as was able to walk to all the local attractions. Would highly recommend staying here

I cannot fault anything at the hotel.

The welcome was friendly and the room was beautiful. The staff made you feel at home and ensured completely comfortable. The lady on reception showed us to our room and explained all the facilities. I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. I would highly recommend this hotel

The view from the window was a building site, some of the electrics looked dodgy, and there was no extractor fan for the shower or if there was, it wasn't working. No proper breakfast area.

I liked the city location ,close to many major sights. :the comfortable bed, quality linen and room facilities. There was a good bathroom with plenty of toiletries provided and a heated towel rail.

Clean room. Comfy bed. Facilities great..always a bonus when there’s a nespresso machine in the room. If you run out of pods just ask at reception and they get you more. They were more than happy to accommodate any requests they good. Great location around 10 minute walk from the train station and around the same into the centre of York. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was superb, lots of space and very comfortable. It had a huge bathroom with a great shower and plenty of lovely toiletries. We also had plenty of tea and coffee and the room was really clean. The location was ideal for town and for a stroll along the river. The staff were exceptionally friendly and really welcoming

It would be great if there were a few more emergency essentials available for free (or even purchase) from reception, but I realise it's hard to judge what to stock.

I love almost everything about this place. It's cosy, stylish, in a wonderful location (with great views of the park) and it's so reasonably priced. I love the little treats they leave in reception (mulled wine over christmas, and sweeties otherwise). The staff are friendly and helpful and the beds and so comfortable!!! I've stayed twice and it's very consistent.

There has been nothing wrong at all

It was one of the best stays in my life. Staff is extremely nice and solved every our request with ease. The room was very clean, pretty spacious, had amazing bath, great sitting area near the bay window and an amazing view. They even had Yorkshire Tea bags as a room tea (I'm a big fan).

My only dislike is the basement level rooms are quite noisy when there is movement above, so I would request a first floor or above next time :)
